The Details: When it comes to Punk Rock legends there are few as respected at the mighty Misfits. Formed in 1977 by singer Glen Danzig, the band had numerous lineup changes before its most iconic roster of Glen, Jerry Only, Robo and Doyle Wolfgang von Frankenstein and as result the term Horror Punk took form and grew to sinister proportions. In today’s music world, the band is fronted by Jerry Only who is joined by Dez Cadena and Eric “Chupacabra” Arce and together they deliver a knock ‘em dead show that is packed with the classics along with some new stuff. It’s almost Halloween and what better kind of show to see than this one that is happening on “The Devil’s Night” (which is the night before Halloween in case you didn’t know that). Thanks to the ghoulishly grim Marketing folks at B.B. King Blues Club, some of the more dastardly readers of the PiercingMetal site will be enjoying this show for free. Read on below to learn how to participate.

When and Where: Wednesday October 30th at B.B. King Blues Club (237 West 42nd St. NYC)

To Participate: My requirement from you is another simple one. Tell me three of the most favorite treats you ever received while trick or treating as a youth and that one thing you hated to get the most. Extra points if you tell me the best costume you ever did yourself up in and how it rocked. I will be picking a few names from the responders and letting them know right below their submissions. Be sure to enter your full real name and an email address in the comment form (but not the comment because then it’s visible to the world). We might need to reach you. We also ask that you subscribe to comments to know if we pick yours and to only enter once. The comments are moderated and will not appear immediately after submission. Go get em.

Restrictions: While all contests are open to our regional site readers, Facebook Page likers and Twitter Followers we do look at new responders first in order to give everyone a fair shot at enjoying a show on the provider and us. I do still encourage all to participate because you never know just how many tickets we are offering and when that last person might have won. The main restriction for this one is if you had won any of our contests over the last two weeks you are not eligible (that means Watain, UFO , Ill Nino and Soulfly). Please note that Guest and Anonymous comments while approved are NOT eligible to win the contest. Winners of this contest cannot participate in our contest for The Misfits.

Worst – I actually never forgot me and my friends actually trick or treated a house where the old lady gave us travel packs of Kleenex tissues!
Costume – I was Dracula a lot of years and it rocked because I looked just like Lugosi, makeup, blood, costume etc. I would get uneasy stares from the moms of the other kids who were dressed as fairies n stuff 😉 hope you like Ken

  3. The best:
    1. Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups were the ultimate!
    2. Full-sized Hershey’s bar (rare find but always appreciated).
    3. Halloween-themed Pez dispensers loaded with lemon Pez.

Worst: Wax lips. Yuck! Never understood how to even eat them.

Favorite costume as a kid was Jason from Friday the 13th. Hockey mask and plastic axe and you were ready to go. Simple but effective.

    1. Oh Steven I am dying to know the houses you went to that dished out full candy bars. Lucky kids and even luckier dentists I guess. Wax lips, man I hated those as well. Congrats dude you have won a ticket to see The Misfits on Weds 10/30 at BB Kings. Stay tuned to the comments for one from me about how you claim it.

  4. Best Halloween Candy
    1 Kit Kat Bars
    2 Candy Apples
    3 PEZ
    Worst trick or treat Pennies
Best costume Grim Reaper, skull mask, black cloak, scythe

  5. 1. Any Reese’s product of course.
    2. King sized candy bars.
    3. Once received a Nerf Turbo football and as an Eight year old it couldn’t get much cooler than that.

Worst is a toss up between raisins and a nickle both being pretty damn terrible.

I grew up playing Mortal Kombat. One year a good friend and I went as Scorpion and Sub-Zero complete with battles in front of peoples homes in hopes of extra treats!

    1. Nom nom nom to Reese’s anything. I must admit that I never got king size candy bars though but surely had a lot of pennies tossed into the bag. I didn’t mind it so much since I liked money 🙂 Anyway, congratulations as you have won one of our tickets to see The Misfits on 10/30 at BB Kings. Please watch the comments for one from me that lines out the details that you need to know to claim it that night.

  6. I always loved the bite size candies Mr. Good Bar was my favorite, the little self packets M&Ms and of course Hersey Kisses. I always hated getting Candy Corn, I know its a classic candy but i never liked the taste, either it was that or cookies! My favorite youth costume was a Devil Costume, with the horn and the Trident, the whole gig, it was awesome!

    1. I’m drooling here Gino about all this chocolate you bring up but I disagree with you on disliking the candy corn, those were necessary doses of sugar to me as a Trick or Treater. Anyway, congratulations because you have won a ticket to see The Misfits at BB Kings on 10/30; Please stay tuned to the comments for the details on how you claim this prize the night of the show.

  7. My favorite Halloween treats are as follows: anything Reese’s, Hershey’s Special Dark mini bars and wax drinks.
My least favorite Halloween treats are those hard popcorn balls that you nearly chip a tooth on trying to bite into them.
The Halloween costume that I am most proud of that I made myself was going as Alice Cooper back in 2002. Not only did I look fantastic, but nobody could tell it was me until I told them. 🙂

    1. Wait do you mean those colored liquid things? Almost all sugar goop in a wax???? Man did I like those. Brings back memories. Congrats Kimmy, you have also won a ticket to see The Misfits. Stay tuned to the comments for the details on how you claim it that night.

  8. My favorite Halloween treats were the mini Rolos, Mounds bars, and Twix.
My least favorite treat is a tie between the wax bottles that squirted syrup into your mouth when you bit into it and Neco wafers.
I am a big Star Wars fan and was into a little cosplay when I was younger. One Halloween I went as a Sith Lord I created, Darth Gofunus. The name was stupid I know.

    1. Oh man Danny, I liked those bunch of things too but had some weird liking for the juice things in the wax. Not sure why but Neco wafers were always the stuff I gave away. Congratulations on winning one of our tickets for The Misfits on Wednesday. Just stay tuned to the comments and watch for one from me that lines out the full details on what you need to do.

  9. Halt! Our contest for The Misfits has ended so congratulations to all of our winners. Here is what you do tonight at the show. Go to the venue podium downstairs and ask for the House List. Your name will be there so have ID. If you should encounter any difficulty please ask for an onsite manager and cite that the contest was done in conjunction with venue marketing staff.
