The Scoop: Singer Otep Shamaya and her Art-House Metal meets Nu-Metal band that goes under her name have been releasing albums since 2000 to the delight of her most ardent fans. The group has been signed to Victory Records for the last few years and most recently released their first ever live album “Sounds Like Armageddon” and “Hydra” the latter of which Shamaya has been quoted citing as being the bands final recording. Only time will tell if this will actually be the case. That being said, it’s awesome to be able to offer this contest to the PiercingMetal readers in conjunction with the folks at Excess DB Entertainment. This Easter Sunday Slaughter will also feature One Eyed Doll, The Things They Carried and more. Read on how to participate.
When and Where: Sunday, March 31st at 6:30pm at The Studio at Webster Hall (125 East 11th St. NYC)
To Participate: Knowing the passion that the Otep fans have for the singer and her music, let me know how her music has made a difference in your life and perhaps sparked you to action on musical efforts of your own. I’ll be sifting through the responses and shall pick out a few winners from them and will reply to the winners right below their submission. It’s really important to enter your full real name and email address in the comment form so we are sure to reach you but don’t put this information in the actual comment out of privacy concerns. It also never hurts to subscribe to the comments for the duration of this. Go.
Restrictions: While all PiercingMetal.com contests are open to our regional site readers, we do look at new responders first in order to give everyone a fair shot at enjoying a show on the provider and us. Of course we still encourage all to respond because you never know just how many tickets we are offering. Anonymous or Guest submissions while approved are not eligible.
