The Details: You don’t have to live in the city itself to know that New York pulses with a musical lifeblood like few other regions worldwide. On any given night, in more locations than you can easily count there are literally dozens upon dozens of bands performing sets for their ardent fans as well as the curious newbie. That being said, there are also some promotion entities that do their best to put forth just how vital our scene is and one in particular is Gotham Rocks. PiercingMetal has covered a few of their shows over the years and now thanks to the folks at Livenation, we are putting some fans into the sure to be rocking performance by two local favorites Killcode and Anaka. This show will be complimented by support from Eva and her Virgins, Brand Of Julez and Electric Black Horse. Read on for details how to participate.

When and Where: Saturday May 18th, @ Gramercy Theatre (127 East 23rd NYC)

To Participate: I will keep this one simple and ask you to tell me what interests you most about this show and the scheduled lineup. Perhaps you have seen any of these bands in the past and wish to extol their virtues to the world. Just let me know what you think and I will be replying to the winning submissions. Make sure to enter your full real name and an email address in the comment form but NOT in the comment itself for privacy concerns. Anonymous and guest postings while approved will not be eligible to win. Let’s get rocking.

Restrictions: I usually want to get the new blood enjoying some of our giveaways first to even up the offerings but since this is all local talent I want to lock out this contest fast to show proper support.

  1. I was introduced to Anaka when their vocalist messaged me on Facebook, told me to check out their music, and it was awesome! I enjoyed it and then Killcode eventually does the same, I’ve had the chance to see them, actually had a ticket at some point but due to either family things or got scheduled to work, I wasn’t able to go so it would be awesome to get the chance to see them live!

    1. Great submission Sergio, you have won a ticket for the show on Saturday. Stay tuned to the comments for the details on how to claim your ticket that night.

  2. I first became a fan of Killcode just after the release of their self titled album. When I first heard the songs “Trust” and “Hands Up” I instantly became a fan of the band. I have not seen them live yet but I have seen of live videos that are up on Youtube of some shows that they have did. I know that they just got signed to CME Records. I am looking forward to hearing their new album that is going to be released on June 11th. It is always good to hear that a Metal/Hard Rock from NYC gets signed to a record label and has so much success without even having any Rock Station in NYC on mainstream FM Radio. If it wasn’t for Facebook I would of never found out about the band.

    1. Awesome response Brian and for this you have won a ticket to the show on Saturday. Please stay tuned to the comments for the details on how to claim your ticket that night.

  3. This contest is closed so please no more entry submissions. Congratulations to our winners because each of you has won a pair of tickets. Yep. We had the means to do it so you can treat a friend as well to the fun. How cool is that. On the night of the show, please go to the venue box office with proper identification and ask for the Livenation list. Your name will be on there for you to claim your ticket. Should you encounter any issues, please ask for a venue manager and cite that this contest was done in cooperation with Livenation Marketing and; Once I submit the list and they confirm names it is out of my hands. Have a great time.
