The Scoop: Soilwork were formed back in 1995 under the name Inferior Breed and it was good that they changed their name the following year because there is nothing inferior about the level of throttling Metal that the band puts out there. Their latest album is “The Living Infinite” and it continues the trend of mind warping Metal mania and it is so cool that they will be making a stop in NYC this week. As a matter of fact the tour will also find the likes of Blackguard, Jeff Loomis,
The Browning and Wretched (both have dropped off the tour and been replaced by Bonded By Blood and Hatchet) to make this a nonstop ride from the moment the show begins. To make it even cooler those fine folks at Livenation want some of the PiercingMetal readers in the venue and how could I refuse their offer so check below on how you can make Friday a night like no other.
When and Where: Friday, March 15th @ 6pm at Gramercy Theatre (127 East 23rd St. NYC). This show is an early one based on all the bands so arrive early and get the most out of it.
To Participate: Let’s have some fun here. I want you readers to build me a Gothenburg Metal band. Yep, you read me correctly. I’m talking lead vocals, twin guitar assault, bass, drums and keyboards if you deem it necessary. Tell me who is your ultimate Gothenburg Super Group and why this is the case but please use musicians that are among the living (if you’ll pardon the terrible Anthrax joke). I am going to pick the most pummeling lineup from the responders so get to it. I will be letting the winners know right below their comments if they have won. Remember to put your full name and email address in the comment form but not the comment itself and it never hurts to subscribe to the comments so you will know if you win or not.
Restrictions: While all PiercingMetal.com contests are open to our regional site readers, we look at new responders first in order to give everyone a fair shot at enjoying a show on the provider and us. Of course we still encourage all to respond because you never know just how many tickets we are offering.

As you might expect, with such a loaded bill of fantastic bands, there are a number of albums that you can drop down your hard-earned cash on. I recommend these for sure.
