The Details: In the annals of Hardcore music history, there are few bands who are as influential and as cited as The Dead Kennedys. They were formed in 1978 and quickly became kings of the underground movement for the growing scene. For years they were fronted by the enigmatic presence of Jello Biafra but he has long been out of the lineup which leaves only East Bay Ray, Klaus Floride, D.H. Peligro as the band with Ron “Skip” Greer on vocals. Either way, its an exciting opportunity to be able to offer a couple of PiercingMetal.com readers the chance to enjoy the show for free thanks to the fine folks at Livenation. Time to lace up those boots dear readers.
When and Where: Tuesday, February 12th at 6:30pm @ The Gramercy Theatre (127 E.23rd St. NYC)
To Participate: Just let me know what the bands music means to you as a fan of this kind of stuff and I will pick a couple of the best comments out of the responders. Once in awhile I like to keep this simple for the world. Mind you based on the show being right here I will be closing this one up very quick. I don’t schedule them my fiends, I just help broadcast them after all. Please be sure to put your full real name and email address in the comment form (but not the comment itself), I also encourage subscribing to the comments so you know right away when and if you win. All topical comments will be approved and I will let winners know right below their submission.
Restrictions: While all PiercingMetal.com contests are open to our regional site readers, we look at new responders first in order to give everyone a fair shot at enjoying a show on the provider and us. Of course we still encourage all to respond because you never know just how many tickets we are offering.
Here are links to the bands first four albums which should be a part of any existing fan or the ardent study of the Hardcore movement of musics library. I’ve made searching for them easier.
