Win A Ticket To See Primal Fear @ Stage 48 On 4/30/2014

Poster - Primal Fear at Stage 48 - 2014

The Details: Primal Fear is one of Metal’s most exciting providers of entertainment based on powerful melodies and the stratospheric vocal register of Ralf Scheepers. Their recent album “Delivering The Black” has been met with worldwide praise and they are finally returning to this side of the ocean for a national tour to support it. The bands NYC stop will be at Stage 48 and will have local support care of both Gothic Knights and Flames of Fury. Thanks to the fine folks at CEG Presents, PiercingMetal will be putting some of its readers into the show for free.

When and Where: Wednesday April 30th @ Stage 48 (605 West 48th Street)

To Participate: Tell me three things you like most about the band Primal Fear and what their music means to you as a Metal fan. Make it something good and not leave me with “because they rock dude” because that will not impress me at all. I will be selecting the responses that interest me most and letting the winners know directly below their comments. Be sure to enter your full real name (not just your first since it’s needed for the listing purposes). We also need a working email to confirm details (you will not be spammed). Only enter once as no appending will be permitted and please note that anonymous and guest submissions will be immediately disqualified. Now bring it on.

Restrictions: While all PiercingMetal.com contests are open to our regional site readers, Twitter Followers and Facebook Page Likers you should know that we tend to look at new responders first in order to give everyone a fair shot at enjoying a show on the provider and us. Of course we still encourage all to respond because you never know just how many tickets we are offering and when that last person might have won in comparison to you. I will say that the biggest restriction on this one is that if you have won anything over the last month that your chances are even less because we surely cannot have the same people winning again and again.

  1. Three things I like most about Primal Fear…

    1. They have taken the torch that was lit by Judas Priest in the early 70’s and are proudly carrying it into today’s generation representing true heavy metal. In a world full of trends and doing what it takes to “be cool” they never compromise their look, their sound, their vision. They do what they love and believe in and that to me is COOL!

    2. I love how consistent they are and while doing this they never sacrifice quantity for quality. Some bands put out records and it may take 4 or 5 years til you get another one or they may put them out frequently but the quality of music suffers and the band is just going through the motions. With Primal Fear you can bet that you are gonna get fresh product every 2-3 years and you never have to doubt whether or not the album will be good. They have yet to disappoint me.

    3. Their cover art is amazing. I love how the Eagle has become their Eddie or Vic Rattle head and that leads me to what the band’s music means and represents to me and that is FREEDOM. When I see the eagle I picture the free spirited bird flying through the skies not worried about what others think but just staying true to oneself and following the path you love.

    1. 1. As a metal fan, I’m always looking for a band to blow me away. Primal Fear is the best example of this. They convey so much power in their music. I get goosebumps every time I listen to them.

      2. Ralf Scheepers is an exceptional performer. He inspires me to be a better singer with the passion and emotion he puts behind his music.

      3. Metal is forever! Without a doubt, Primal Fear will always set the bar high for power metal. Theirs is a sound you simply cannot replicate.

  4. 1. Been into Ralf since the Gamma Ray days. Originally got into Gamma Ray after Kai left Halloween. Never got to see him with Gamma Ray
    2. Got into Matt Sinner with the Sinner LP (yes, vinyl) Danger Zone. Once again, a Zip Zag recommendation.
    3. One of the torch bearers of Power Metal. No sell outs here.

  5. 1. since first learning of them in 2000 from my brother, i feel in love with the song “metal is forever”, ive never really been into catchy anthem type songs, but they bring this powerful essence to an anthem. to me they’ve combined something from the 80’s anthem type bands and from the modern day heavy metal and have made magic.

    2. when i met them in 2008, they were such humble individuals. they loved talking metal, taking pics and just had the up most respect for their fans.

    3. as a metal fan, and fan of a lot of other genres too, im so amazed how these guys dont stop, album after album, they bring new elements to the table, you can hear such a progression from jaws of death in 1999 all the way to their new release delivering the black. this album blew me away, im already anticipating what going on for the next release which im sure is not far behind.

  6. 1. Ever since hearing my introduction to them which was the album “Devil’s ground” I’ve been heavly influenced vocally, lyrically and when it pertains to guitar by every killer track especially “suicide and mania” as it one of my favorites from that album. After discovering their whole catalog front to back up until Delivering the black I’ve found Primal Fear to be one of the most unique power/heavy metal bands to date as they truly have something special with every amazing metal platter they release.

    2. The main composer Mat Sinner has not only influenced me with his band primal fear, but as well his band Sinner which I take as one of the very highest on my list of influences especially the album “The Nature of Evil”

    3. Lastly the song “Hands of time” I carry as one of the most absolute heartfelt and impressive ballads I’ve heard in ages. It is so amazing how the whole band contributed vocally and lyrically on that amazing track. Watching them perform that track along with my second favorite ballad/epic masterpiece “fighting the darkness”in 2009 at Gramercy theater in Manhattan was life changing to say the least. Meeting the band, meeting my hero’s and getting the chance to hang out with them along with the lovely Pamela Moore who sung with Ralf on “fighting the darkness” was yet another life changing experience I will never forget.

    1. Hails Efrain and that is some good stuff. That said you have won a ticket to see Primal Fear at Stage 48 on Weds 4/30. Please stay tuned to watch the comments from me on how you claim this at the show.
