Win A Ticket To See Foghat @ B.B. King Blues Club On 9/21/2016

The Details: The name of Foghat is surely a legendary one for the Rock and Roll lovers and when I was of a certain age, I think that everyone I knew owned a copy of the incredible “Foghat Live”. As a matter of fact, that album will hit its own 40th Anniversary next year so I best mark that down for a “Music Milestone” posting when the time comes. Now, what’s more important is that the band is still active with original drummer Roger Earl and with this show will be celebrating the release of the brand new “Under The Influence” album. Lonesome Dave might be gone for a while now but he is surely smiling at the fact that the name continues to rock the masses. Check out the specs below.

When and Where:
Wednesday, September 21st at B.B. King Blues Club 7:30pm (237 West 42nd Street NYC)

To Participate: Since I myself am very guilty about being only aware of those “big hits” songs I am going to keep this one on the “easy” side. All that you need to do if you’re interested in this one is tell me three things about the band that make you want to be there or three reasons that you need to be at this show and should be considered. I know I often make you work hard on these giveaways but believe me your submissions have made them be all the more amazing. I think it’s going to be a great one and according to a recent post on Facebook there are going to be special guests aplenty including the legendary Kim Simmonds of Savoy Brown. I know where I am going to be on Wednesday night so how about you look over the fine print below and try your luck.

– Enter only enter once. The comments are moderated and will not appear immediately after submission.
– Number them for ease of knowing if you followed the instructions or not if I’ve asked for a list.
– Please enter your full real name in the comment form along with an email address that you can be reached at if you win. This is necessary for listing purposes. Please do NOT put this information in the comment itself out of privacy concerns.
– Only enter if you can and will attend the show should you win and it’s logistically possible for you to do so. Essentially if you live a couple of hundred miles away we don’t think you’re coming here for a show in NYC.
– Subscribe to the comments and check back to see the responses so you know if you won or not.
– Make sure you are entering a NEW comment and not replying to another contestant’s entry as that makes notifying you difficult should you be marked as a winner.
Bring it on as this one will close by noon on day of show or when allotment has been depleted.

Restrictions: PiercingMetal.com contests are open to all of our regional site readers but we do look at new responders first in order to give everyone a fair shot at enjoying a show on the provider and us. We still encourage all to respond because you never know just how many tickets we are offering or when the most recent folks actually won if there is no one new. Please also be aware that Guest and Anonymous submissions while likely approved are not eligible to win.

If You Win This Contest: If you are marked as one of the winners for this contest, here is how to claim the ticket. On the night of the show go to the venue podium and ask for the House Guest List. Please bring proper identification (driver’s license, passport, NYC ID card) and your name will be checked off that list for you to enter. If you encounter any difficulty, please politely ask for an onsite manager and cite how this contest was done in coordination with venue Marketing and PiercingMetal.com. You can also expect an email to the provided address reminding you of the win so make sure that @piercingmetal.com is listed as a safe domain to receive notes from.

  4. 1. Fun fact- When I was little, I used to pronounce the “gh” in Foghat as you would pronounce the “gh” in the word dough. Ever since then, my parents always tease me every time a song of theirs comes on the radio.
    2. Foghat ALWAYS comes on Spotify when I listen to Bad Company, and I love Bad Company, so I started really tuning in to Bad Company to hear Foghat because they also have a great sound with awesome riffs!
    3. I don’t think (or I can’t remember) seeing them live, but I’ve watched a couple of live videos and they look fantastic live! I think it’d be great to realistically see and hear them live to add a visual to their great sound!

    1. Just found out I have a conflict- can’t make it, but thank you for making this opportunity available! Hope it’s a great show!

  5. 1: Roger Earl, the heartbeat of Foghat, and he played on one of my favorite Savoy Brown albums “Street Corner Talking”.

2: Slow Ride, one of my favorite 70 live slide guitar anthems.

3: Charlie Huhn. He has played Nugent, Gary Moore, and Humble pie. I would like to catch him live.

4: As an artist & designer I am not sure if the cover to Foghat “Rock and Roll” is the silliest weed induced cover ever, or comedy genius.

  6. Alright my friends that brings us to the end of this little contest. Our ticket giveaway for the legendary Foghat is now 100% closed and no further submissions can be considered. Thank you to all who have participated, all winners were notified right below their entry so congratulations to them all. Please remember that the rules of entry are in the part marked as “If You Win This Contest”. Doors look to be 6pm and show at 7:30 with no opener listed so get there early to have the best spot or the one you prefer in this venue.

I’ll be running around for sure so if you see me please say hello 🙂
