Warner Brothers Pictures Line Out Films For Locked In Dates

Hey so remember a couple of months ago when Warner Brothers Pictures made a whole big hoopla about their locking in nine release date slots for future films but not disclosing any of the films for said slots? No? Well I brought that up on THIS LINK in case you want to keep up with me. Earlier today, Warner Brothers CEO Kevin Tsuijihara announced that the studio has plans for the DC Entertainment characters and unveiled ten movies that will be released between 2016 and 2020. Better watch out Marvel Studios, they are coming for you now with all of these superhero movies but honestly have so much catching up to do in my humble opinion. It’s going to take a lot more than a pairing of Superman and Batman to win the market share if the movie and its follow ups are terrible. The list is below the already observed on several occasions “Batman V Superman” logo.

Here’s the 10 DC Movies Named:
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice directed by Zack Snyder (2016)
Suicide Squad directed by David Ayer (2016)
Wonder Woman starring Gal Gadot (2017)
Justice League Part One directed by Snyder, with Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill and Amy Adams reprising their roles (2017)
The Flash starring Ezra Miller (2018)
Aquaman starring Jason Momoa (2018)
Shazam (2019)
Justice League Part Two directed by Zack Snyder (2019)
Cyborg starring Ray Fisher (2020)
Green Lantern (2020)

PiercingMetal Thoughts: I guess that I shouldn’t be surprised at the fact that almost all of the proposed films will be featuring a member of the current lineup of the “Justice League” comic book. The question remains will all of these characters work in films of their own or not. From the looks of it it appears as though the lead of the television “The Flash” show is not the same as the 2018 proposed film which is a shame since that actor is already doing a good job and this show holds some promise. Was surprised to see nothing on the immediate idea plate for Green Arrow or Hawkman or maybe even Legion Of Super-Heroes. The last one could have been DC’s chance at offering up their own cosmic side that doesn’t need to be connected to the other stories just like Marvel Studios did with “Guardians Of The Galaxy”. I’ve said it already and that is how I want these films to work out well and keep me interested in these characters on the big screen as much as they entertain me on the comic book page. Marvel Studios has really been doing an great job of this stuff and while some of these characters might be the biggest that can be offered up, the stories still have to knock your socks off. What do you readers think of these proposed films and what would you have preferred be on the list of upcoming films? Let me know in the comments section.
