For those fans of the Star Trek franchise and are top to bottom Trekkie’s when it all comes down to it, today is an exciting day because the second season of “Star Trek: Discovery” has now become available for streaming on the CBS All Access network. Of course, you’ll need a subscription to the service to do it and if you don’t have one yet, perhaps the revisiting to the Official Trailer (seen HERE) will help you in your decision making process.
The Premise: Set roughly ten years before the events of Star Trek: The Original Series, the show sees the united Klingon houses in a war with the United Federation of Planets that involves the crew of the USS Discovery.
Sonequa Martin-Green as Michael Burnham
Doug Jones as Saru
Shazad Latif as Voq/Ash Tyler
Anthony Rapp as Paul Stamets
Mary Wiseman as Sylvia Tilly
Jason Isaacs as Gabriel Lorca
Wilson Cruz as Hugh Culber
Anson Mount as Christopher Pike
PiercingMetal Thoughts: So as I mentioned in the trailer post last month, and well, just above here in my introduction – you need a subscription to CBS All Access to see the show and that runs between $5.99-$9.99 depending on who you are signing onto it through. With a large cable bill, Netflix and Hulu on my monthly bill I can’t do it so hopefully this airs somewhere else eventually. What I don’t like about the CBS All Access is that you can’t binge watch a show in full like people do with “Daredevil” and those other Marvel shows that we’ve found on competing services. DC Universe does the same thing and that’s why I only managed to see a handful of “Titans” episodes. Without getting on a soapbox, this stuff is going to get super ridiculous once the Disney service comes to life because so many of us are already saying how we need to be in on that no matter what. So closing up, I wonder if you will be watching this second season of “Star Trek: Discovery”. Chime in down below.
