Alright my friends, I know you have been waiting for this moment and I am happy to remind you that tonight marks the return of the HBO Original Series “Game Of Thrones” which begins its sixth season tonight. Hopefully you have HBO or have access to a good friends HBO Go account on your mobile device because you don’t want to miss out on any of the medieval intrigue and doings. The plot for this go round was culled from the official Wiki entry and doesn’t appear to cite any spoilers so check it out along with the main cast.

The Plot:
“Beyond the wall, Bran Stark has been training with the Three-Eyed Raven, having last appeared in the season four finale episode “The Children”. According to an interview conducted with Isaac Hempstead Wright about Bran’s plot line in season six, the training largely expands his previous ability to see into the past and future, and allow him more control to piece things together. He also discovers his role in the wars to come.
Near the Dothraki Sea, after being surrounded by a khalasar Daenerys Targaryen is taken captive and discovers that the Dothraki have certain traditions for widows of fallen Khals.[5] In an interview with Emilia Clarke, she stated of Daenerys’s plot line, “She’s learning the last lesson she needs to learn. There’s just few remnants of being a human being she’s shaking off.” In King’s Landing, Jaime Lannister has returned to Cersei Lannister with the body of their daughter Myrcella, and the two must work together to overcome the rising influence of the Faith Militant and the High Sparrow. In Meereen, Tyrion Lannister, accompanied by Varys, Grey Worm, and Missandei, will strive to keep order and manage the city using “Westeros-style politics” to prevent it from falling into chaos following the departure of Daenerys. At Winterfell, Ramsay Bolton and his forces are in pursuit of Sansa Stark and Theon Greyjoy, following their escape at the end of the last season.” (thanks Wiki).

PiercingMetal Thoughts: I’ve been keeping up with the show since it began and look forward to doing so as the sixth season gets underway. The last season threw us some surprises and some shocking moments for sure. Its the kind of show that always seems to leave me with the sense of “I didn’t see that coming” and of course this mostly comes from my never having read the books. At this point the show is a divergent from what the readers know what happens since like “The Walking Dead” it no longer follows the written page to the letter. Now while I’ve never gauged this to see if its fact, if you are a diehard to the program you might want to stay off your Facebook feed as the show gets underway, especially if you are going to watch it a little later or the following day. That is because people seem to love to write exactly what transpires right after it happens. Sadly I have watched TWD cause people to unfriend others so let’s not let that happen with GOT. So tell me readers, are you planning on watching this season? Let me know in the comments section below.
