Let’s roll back the Marvel Cinematic Universe a few decades and learn what’s happened with Agent Peggy Carter since we last saw her in her debut series several months ago. Hayley Atwell reprises the role she did so well and gets a second season which premieres tonight. Check out the poster, premise and cast below then I will add some thoughts.
The second season of the American television series Agent Carter, which is inspired by the films Captain America: The First Avenger and Captain America: The Winter Soldier, and the Marvel One-Shot short film of the same name, features the Marvel Comics character Peggy Carter as she moves to Los Angeles to deal with the threats of the new atomic age in the wake of World War II, gaining new friends, a new home, and potential new love. It is set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), sharing continuity with the films of the franchise. The season, which is expected to air on ABC from January 19 to March 1, 2016, over 10 episodes, is produced by ABC Studios, Marvel Television, and F&B Fazekas & Butters, with Tara Butters, Michele Fazekas, and Chris Dingess serving as showrunners.

PiercingMetal Thoughts: I really enjoyed the first season of the “Agent Carter” series because it was both fun and action-packed which a quick, interesting story line that gave us little Easter egg clues to other Marvel history points. Atwell does really good at the role so I’m interested in seeing how California treats her. There was some posts online about Madame Masque being one of the adversaries and I found that a curiosity since this villain is set in today’s comic world and was someone that Iron Man occasionally faced. Of course I realize that they have reworked some of the larger mythology to make it work better on film so let’s see how it goes. I would not mind at all if it works out. Did you readers watch the first season of “Agent Carter”? Will you watch this season or are going to give it a pass? Let me know in the comments section as we love discussing this stuff with you. 2016 is surely going to be a heroic year with all the films and new television show launches happening.
