Today: Joe Perry Signs “Rocks: My Life In And Out Of Aerosmith” @ Barnes & Noble, NYC

I was going to ask if you like or love the music of Aerosmith, but that is a silly question if you are a regular reader of this site since you most likely do. The band just recently completed their tour and now its time for its legendary guitarist Joe Perry to do some promotional appearances for his new book “Rocks: My Life In And Out Of Aerosmith”. Check out the official press release below along with the cover of this sure to be interesting tome.

Book - Joe Perry - Rocks My Life In and Out of Aerosmith

The Press Copy:
JOE PERRY–Aerosmith co-founding member and rock icon in his own right–will embark on a 14-stop book tour beginning Tuesday, October 7 in New York, in conjunction with the release of his new memoir Rocks: My Life In And Out Of Aerosmith (S&S; Hardcover; October 7, 2014; $27.99). After New York, the book tour continues with stops throughout the U.S., including a mid-tour stop at The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, OH. Full list of dates are below. With total candor and without apology, in ROCKS Perry shares what life is like as the lead guitarist and co-head writer of Aerosmith. Both a study in brotherhood and solitude, Perry reflects on the people who stood beside him during the highs and lows as he and Aerosmith skyrocketed into a world of fame and utter excess. Beginning with a foreword by Johnny Depp, ROCKS has already earned praise from some of the biggest names in rock and roll: “An insightful and harrowing roller coaster ride” (Slash); “Rocking Joe Perry ‘rocks’ again” (Jimmy Page); “When I grow up, I want to be Joe Perry” (Gene Simmons). And with over 100 photographs showing Perry’s life on- and off-stage, ROCKS is “evocative” and “will strike gold with every Aerosmith fan” (Publishers Weekly).

Having been to a few of these kind of events over the last few years I can only say that fans with interest will have to purchase the book onsite and then get on line. Each venue has its own specifications on how this works and the maximum quantity that you can bring to the artist at the signing table. Most will not allow you to bring anything else along to be signed. You can learn more about the event that is taking place in NYC via the link below. I hope to attend this one myself but am not 100% sure since I am also prepping for NY Comic Con. I will surely be planning a review of the book for the site just the same.
