The Performance Lineup For “Rock On The Range” 2016 Is Here!

By now you should have worked off enough of that Thanksgiving dinner to be snapped back into your daily routine and if not, perhaps the very recent unveiling of the 2016 “Rock On The Range” Festival will get you moving. Check out the poster and this years lineup then I will come back for some discussion.

Tour - Rock On The Range - 2016

The 2016 musical melange will mark the 10th Anniversary of the Festival (hey wow we started at the same time, cool beans) and the show will take place close to the Memorial Day weekend next year at the Mapfre Stadium in Columbus Ohio. Check out the bands and take a deep breath based on some of the inclusions.

The 2016 Roster: Red Hot Chili Peppers, Disturbed, Rob Zombie, Shinedown, Five Finger Death Punch, Bring Me The Horizon, A Day To Remember, Megadeth, At The Drive-In, Lamb Of God, Sixx:A.M., Hellyeah, Pennywise, Bullet For My Valentine, Steel Panther, Ghost, Wolfmother, Death From Above 1979, Machine Gun Kelly, Clutch, The Struts, Sevendust, Pop Evil, Asking Alexandria, Parkway Drive, Trivium, Between The Buried & Me, P.O.D., Saint Asonia, Issues, Highly Suspect, The Sword, Tiger Army, Sick Puppies, New Years Day, Aranda, Wilson, Enter Shikari, Butcher Babies, Texas Hippie Coalition, Red Sun Rising, Memphis May Fire, Lacey Sturm, Turbowolf, We Came As Romans, Miss May I, Crown The Empire, Jelly Roll, Avatar, Code Orange, Tyler Bryant & The Shakedown, Monster Truck, Glorious Sons, Wild Throne, Cane Hill, and Citizen Zero, with more to be announced.

PiercingMetal Thoughts: Unless you counted, there are over fifty bands in that list and according to its announcement there are even more coming so that is pretty cool. I took a keen glance into this massive list and I can proudly say that I have seen about 25 of the posted acts and while I realize that this is not even half of them its a pretty good number to me. What about you readers? What’s your number (as I sound like a medical commercial or credit score advertisement). Historically speaking I have never been to a Rock On The Range before based mostly on logistics and commitments in our own Metal Metropolis but who knows. This years line up has some superb acts like Ghost, Five Finger Death Punch, a back in action Disturbed along with Lamb Of God, Megadeth and Clutch. Too many to cite when it comes to the personal appeal to me but who knows, perhaps I will take the plunge (or make the journey in this case). Have any of you readers attended a Rock On The Range before? If so will you go again or was your last visit good enough for you? Let me know in the comments as its always great to hear your thoughts on festivals and new tours. Until next time.
