Though they’ve been in retirement since back in February, the mighty Black Sabbath continues to make news and this recent announcement will be appease all of the bands worldwide fans who could not manage to catch them during the final tour. Take a look at the press release below and know that I will return at the close.
The Press Release:
“The End of The End” chronicles the final tour from the band that spawned the metal genre–BLACK SABBATH. On February, 4 2017, BLACK SABBATH stormed the stage in e U.K. in their hometown of Birmingham, to play the 81st and final triumphant gig of “The End” tour. This monumental show brought down the curtain on a career that spanned almost half a century.
The sold-out performance marked the culmination of a global tour that saw the band play to over one and a half million fans. With their inception in 1968, BLACK SABBATH pioneered a sound that would form the basis of heavy metal, and to this day continues to influence bands the world over.
The film brings fans the up close and personal story of the final, emotionally charged concert, as the band perform hits including “Iron Man,” “Paranoid,” “War Pigs” and many more. BLACK SABBATH are also seen in the studio, as they deliver unique and exclusive performances of some of their favorite songs not played on the tour, and catch an intimate glimpse into the band’s world: the music, relationships and banter, alongside personal anecdotes.
The band said: “To bring it all back home after all these years was pretty special. It was so hard to say goodbye to the fans, who’ve been incredibly loyal to us through the years. We never dreamed in the early days that we’d be here 49 years later doing our last show on our home turf.”
“The End of The End” offers viewers the chance to witness BLACK SABBATH‘s swansong. As OZZY says, “What a journey we’ve all had. It’s fucking amazing.” This is the final word from the greatest heavy metal band of all time.

PiercingMetal Thoughts: I was fortunate enough to catch three of the final USA performances with two of them being at the famous Madison Square Garden. It was something else for sure and while I am not too sure that I can attend one of the screenings in my vicinity, I know for sure that I will be getting myself a copy of the concert on Blu-ray as soon as its available. According to the Amazon.com links below, it looks like we have to wait until November for that so let’s begin the countdown for that one. You readers can pre-order it via those links as well so get on it so you have it as soon as it hits the streets. Considering how small the brick and mortar music and video sections are getting who knows if they will even be in stock at the local stop. Sorry for going off topic, so anyway as I close this one out I ask you will you be in attendance at one of the screenings when the mighty Black Sabbath comes to your comes to your are movie house? Let me know down in the comments section below.
