Welcome back my friends to our comprehensive coverage of the 2015 NY Comic Con. You have now arrived at the second chapter of our Day Four coverage and the Final Chapter in all of these narratives about the convention. Congratulations. As I noted in the first chapter for this particular day, I was using today as a “clean up” day and getting whatever other images I could secure. One of the things that I did was wander the outside area where the buses usually pass through (they were not passing these lanes for the convention) as numerous cosplayers were taking photos with each other and with the many photographers that attend the event. Here are some of the highlights from this part of my adventure.
Greetings my dear readers and welcome back to our series of posts from the 2015 NY Comic Con. For those who are just joining us, you have arrived at the final chapter of the Day Three visuals that were collected from the adventure. What a blast its been so far (as we’ve been to the event for three days in a row already) and there will still be the Day Four stuff that will begin tomorrow. I’ll start off this post with a very special bunch of photos that are celebrating the 150th Anniversary of the NYFD. This anniversary was done in part by the FDNY Foundation and ReedPop who partnered with Marvel Comics to celebrate the real heroes of the NYFD and EMS. All of the helmets were on display and were going to be auctioned off. Talk about your one of a kind art. Take a look. My favorite is this first one with Iron Man.
This weekend was the sophomore go-round for the Special Edition NYC Convention which some readers of the site and those who attended last will recall as being held at the Javits Center where we find the massive NY Comic Con taking place. This year would be different and the event would set up shop down on Pier 94 way down on the West Side. This event space is quite a hike and I only mention that for any Cosplayers heading to it sporting massive bulk to their costumes. Also the slightly in need of more exercise folks such as myself. I’ll be presenting about “50” images in each post as I’ve done in all of our Comic Con reports. Let’s get to exploring.
As you can see by the sign at the entrance, the Special Edition NYC proudly showcases their social networks and encourages Tweeting and Instagram stuff from their attendees. I’m definitely going to be doing this via my sites own accounts of @piercingmetal and @piercingmetalnyc so check those out and give us a follow if you are enjoying the offerings.
Hello and welcome back again my friends in Geekdom. You have safely arrived here at the All-New PiercingMetal.com where I am continuing along with my in-depth coverage of the brand new convention by ReedPop called “Special Edition NYC”. My Day One presentation spanned five individual narratives but our Day Two will only be this one since we managed to get to almost everything in those posts. Strap yourselves in for the ride because here we go…..
I’m going to start out at the Marvel Comics area where they were not only hosting some signings but also offering fans a handful of cool giveaways. There were comic books, trading cards and a few posters to be had along with the eyeball of The Watcher in a super ball form. Cool but in a gross way don’t you think.
Hey there friends in Geek fandom, welcome back to my in-depth coverage of the first ever Special Edition NYC Con; This event is a brand new offshoot of the mega-popular NY Comic Con that happens here at the Javits Center in October and its overall premise and rallying call is “Comics, Art, Culture” and with that being the case I have a lot of photos to share with you. There is plenty of wonderful Cosplay coming up in this chapter and the ones to follow so how about we get underway. I’ll start off with one of the many artist tables that I saw.
