It was a little over a week ago that I shared the Official Dub Trailer for the Sony Pictures Releasing feature “My Hero Academia: Heroes Rising” and now my fellow geeks, the moment has arrived and this film is in theaters for a limited time. Let’s review the premise and incredible voice casting (I’ve listed both the Japanese and English players) after the dynamic poster down below.

The Premise: A group of youths aspiring to become professional superheroes, fight in a world full of people with abilities, also known as quirks. Deku and his fellow classmates from Hero Academy face Nine, the strongest villain yet.

The Anime features continue to rise in influence upon the world of geekdom with shorts, conventions and full-length features such as this one being showcased in the narrative. While we are not as schooled in it as we’d like to be, we’ve done our best to support the medium at events like Liberty City Anime Con and Anime NYC or with events like the recently announced winners of the Crunchyroll Anime Awards. Toho Animation’s “Godzilla: The Planet Eater” Official Trailer

If you’ve been keeping track, then you already know about the series of Anime movies by Toho Animation featuring the might of the legendary Godzilla. First was “Godzilla: Planet Of The Monsters” which was followed by “Godzilla: City On The Edge Of Battle” (just click their respective titles for the trailer posts that we ran right here on the website). Now its time for the third and final chapter in the trilogy with “Godzilla: The Planet Eater” – Take a look down below and also keep reading to see some premise and the voice casting.

Storyline: Humanity, their alien allies, and Godzilla all enter their endgame as the powerful destructive entity known as Ghidorah arrives on Earth.

Toho Animation: “Godzilla: City on the Edge of Battle” Official Trailer

As you know, we’ve been posting trailer items for a few years now and over the last couple of them have expanded to include some of the most popular Anime releases as well. Let’s face it, there are numerous conventions aimed at the stuff so it was good to share with you all and that brings me to our latest item. The fine folks at Toho Animation are at it again and have served up another trailer for a brand-new animated Godzilla film. Set far in the future, here is “Godzilla: City On The Edge Of Battle”.

The Plot: Following their crushing defeat at the hands of Godzilla Earth, Haruo Sakaki and his allies encounter a mysterious aboriginal tribe descended from the humans left behind on Earth 20,000 years ago, and uncover a mechanized city-sized fortress formed from the long-lost anti-Godzilla weapon Mechagodzilla.

Now Streaming: “Godzilla: Planet Of The Monsters” on Netflix (1/17/2018)

Back in August of 2017, I shared the trailer for the upcoming Anime series “Godzilla: Planet Of The Monsters” and if you missed that post just click HERE to catch up to the flow of things. The series was a collaboration between Toho Studios and Paragon Pictures and now after a successful run in his native Japan, “Godzilla: Planet Of The Monsters” is available for streaming in full on the Netflix service. Here’s the official poster and some reminder of the premise, and the cast. Take a look.

The Premise: In the year 2048, the human race is forced to leave Earth after decades of losing against Godzilla and other giant monsters. They take a twenty year journey to another planet called Tau Ceti e, but upon arrival, they discover that the planet has become uninhabitable. As living conditions on their ship deteriorate, a young man named Haruo spearheads a movement to return to Earth and take it back from the monsters. The ship successfully makes the return voyage, but the crew discovers that twenty thousand years have passed and Earth’s ecosystem has evolved, with Godzilla reigning atop the new food chain.
