Wow, “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” is really breaking some musical guest grounds with the groups that they are bringing to their viewers homes and mobile devices (if that is how they are watching stuff). A few months ago they gave us an appearance by the enigmatic Ghost which was spooky cool for sure (I shared the clip HERE for those interested). Now it seems that they have upped the uniqueness game by letting the Kawaii cuteness of BABYMETAL do the same. Late last night, the teenage musical group performed “Give Me Chocolate” live for the audience and I am sure that they are not quite sure of what hit them. I’ve embedded the clip for you below to check out so enjoy.
BABYMETAL will be hitting a bunch of venues soon for a US Tour that was discussed HERE for those that might have missed the December posting. I’m surely excited as I think the presentation is quite wild and think its pretty cool that they will begin the whole thing in NYC. Their latest album “Metal Resistance” was just released and you can order a copy of that and their US debut self-titled album via the Amazon.com codes below. Sayonaro and Arigato.
Just when you thought it was all some kind of crazy dream and the clarity had once more hit your mind, the Mega-Sensation Babymetal have returned with news about a sophomore album and a triumphant return to US Soil. Check out the official press release below along with some images that they provided and then I will return with some thoughts on the matter.

It’s time to get Kawai as Funko presents Babymetal as a part of their “Pop! Rocks” collection. Check out the official statement from the company and a photo of the soon to be released figures.
Pop! Rocks now includes pop metal from Japan! The incredibly popular Babymetal trio – comprised of Su-metal, Yuimetal, and Moametal – mixes elements of heavy metal with pop sensibilities! Don’t be fooled by their sweet appearance!
PiercingMetal Thoughts: I love, love, love the Funko Pop figures and am still kicking myself for missing all of the KISS ones that came out a couple of years ago. I didn’t realize that they were limited runs but now that I know I am definitely grabbing myself a set of these Babymetal ones and I don’t care what you think about this group because I really get a kick out of it. Now let’s just add about how awesome these Funko Pop! figures are as well, because they just are. I know so many people who are buying these and I see a ton of them at Toy Fair when I go exploring that convention. These editions are def worth adding to your collection and even more so if you are rallying behind Babymetal and the Fox God. What do you think of these? Will you buy them? I wonder if they will make some for Ghost. That would be insane. Before we go please check out some additional product photos of these three awesome Pop! Rocks creations. Baby Metal is a quickly growing musical phenomenon that hails from Japan and had apparently only started up about two years ago. I actually first heard of them thanks to the guys at Metal Sucks who seemed fascinated by their existence and when I investigated for myself I found three absolutely adorable Japanese singers/dancers whose names are Moametal, Su-Metal and Yuimetal respectively. Behind them is a crushing Metal band of players and the show that they have on hand is not too far off from a KISS experience in terms of the special effects they employ. They recently opened up the Lady Ga Ga shows but since I did not attend those I cannot offer up anything more than “if GaGa thinks they’re good enough it might be worthy of a larger analysis. Earlier today I learned that the group will be headlining a show at the famous Hammerstein Ballroom and this event appears to be the only East Coast appearance. It seems like a great way to start off your November. Continue reading BabyMetal Prepped To Invade NYC With Metal & Cute In November 2014→
