YES Announces Multi-Act “The Royal Affair Tour” In North America

I think the saying is to go big or don’t bother going at all, and well, this latest tour announcement is probably going to win the 2019 “Go Big” Award. Take a look at the summer plans by Yes, Asia, John Lodge and Carl Palmer – “The Royal Affair Tour”.

The 2019 summer concert calendar has just been lit up with the announcement of YES’ North American concert tour, “The Royal Affair Tour.” Headlined by prog rock pioneers and Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees YES, who triumphed last year with their acclaimed and hugely successful #YES50: Celebrating 50 Years of YES tour, this must-see best-of-British-rock show will also feature Asia with the return of founding member Steve Howe in a special performance, John Lodge of The Moody Blues, and Carl Palmer’s ELP Legacy with guest vocals by Arthur Brown. The first set of dates for “The Royal Affair Tour” has been announced. The trek will launch Wednesday, June 12 in Bethlehem, PA and visit cities including Holmdel, NJ; Toronto; Nashville; Hollywood, FL; Phoenix; Las Vegas; and Irvine, CA before wrapping Sunday, July 28 in Saratoga, CA. Rhino Records Announces “30” Exclusive Vinyl For Record Store Day 2018

I’m continuing to share the scoop about the upcoming Record Store Day coolness as I learn about them because a lot of our readers are avid collectors of them and we aim to please here at the Media Command HQ. It was only a couple of weeks ago that I outlined the exclusives for UMe on THIS POST and now its time to see what our friends at Rhino Records will be offering up. There is a whole variety of stuff here and we’ve shared them all for good measure. Let’s go.

Rhino, the catalog division of Warner Music Group, is announcing its most ambitious collection of vinyl to date for Record Store Day 2018 with a wide variety of titles from WMG’s labels including Atlantic, Elektra, Parlophone, Sire, Warner Bros. Records, and 679 Recordings. This year’s not-to-miss list includes 30 limited edition 12-inch, 10-inch, and 7-inch vinyl releases from the world’s most respected and celebrated artists. Some highlights include Led Zeppelin’s first-ever Record Store Day release and Cheech And Chong’s marijuana-shaped picture disc, complete with a scratch n’ sniff sticker to name a few! Prog-Rock Legends Yes Announce “YESTIVAL” 2017 Summer Tour

They might be getting inducted into the “esteemed” Rock Hall tomorrow, but last night the members of Yes dropped by the SiriusXM Satellite Radio studios for a chat with David Fricke. Read all about it below.

In advance of tomorrow’s induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, YES revealed their initial summer touring plans live on SiriusXM last night during their exclusive in-studio audience event “SiriusXM Volume Presents an Artist Confidential with YES.” The 2017 outing, called YESTIVAL, will feature a set list of greatest hits from all of the band’s studio albums up to 1980, showcasing the storied history of one of the world’s most influential, ground-breaking, and respected progressive rock bands.

“We are looking forward to presenting songs from each of the first nine studio albums, including some surprises,” says YES guitarist Steve Howe.
