Now that “Wonder Woman” is kicking some behind in the box office, the attention is starting to build up for the Late Fall opening “Justice League” film. With this being the case the toys are going to start coming as well, and Mattel has just recently unveiled their first group of action figures that is based on the film. Let’s take a look at them with the official images.
Though I missed the initial announcement about this somehow, it’s better late than never because today is “Wonder Woman Day” and being celebrated across the country at participating comic book shops, bookstores and libraries. Think of it like “Batman Day” but only aimed at the famous Amazonian Princess Diana who now stars in her own feature film which opened up yesterday in theaters everywhere. I was tied up with Book Expo yesterday and today is Gretsch Day for me, so I am not going to get to see the film until some time next week but back to “Wonder Woman Day”. I think this is the first one of its kind and I hope that they keep on doing this since it gives the fans of Wonder Woman a chance to celebrate how awesome she is as a comic book character.
Much like the “Batman Day” there are some free comics to be had while supplies last. I hope that I can get my hands on these as well for my collection and perhaps a few to giveaway to our fans of the character and medium. The first title is more for the younger readers and a recommendation for those with children in the 7-10 or so range.
In honor of the opening of the “Wonder Woman” film yesterday, participating bookstores, comic book shops and libraries are taking part in the first ever “Wonder Woman Day”. This is like “Batman Day” but only for the famous Amazonian. Sign me up for some comic book coolness for sure.
