Back in September 2018, Mastodon longtime manager Nick John lost his battle with pancreatic cancer and during his funeral the band paid a tribute to their friend by covering the Led Zeppelin classic “Stairway To Heaven”. The track was sung by the band’s drummer Brann Dailor and the recording of this happening made its way around the Internet before being professionally recorded and released for this years Record Store Day. Now having listened to their stunning version of the track which is called “Stairway To Nick John” in his honor, I just wanted to throw together some thoughts about their take on such a classic number during such a terrible time. After kicking off the year with a North American tour that saw them playing to more than 200,000 frenzied fans, 2-time Grammy nominees DISTURBED have announced a much-anticipated second leg of arena shows set to begin July 21st at the Mankato Civic Center in Mankato, MN. Select shows on the tour will feature special guests Pop Evil or In This Moment (see itinerary below for specific dates/info).
Tickets for Disturbed’s tour go on sale to the general public beginning Friday, March 29th at 10:00AM local time at http://www.disturbed1.com/tour. Citi is the official presale credit card for the tour, and Citi cardmembers will have access to purchase presale tickets beginning Wednesday, March 27th at 10:00AM local time until Thursday, March 28th at 10:00PM local time. Just the other day, the band Disturbed unveiled a massive amount of tour dates and the news that these happenings will be supported by Three Days Grace. Sadly, I didn’t happen to get the proper press details so just culled the stops for you which can be viewed down below the poster. Legendary, GRAMMY-award winning band Fleetwood Mac announced today a North American tour, set to kick off in 10/and travel through 50+ cities ending in Spring of 2019. Produced by Live Nation, the tour will feature the newly announced line-up of Mick Fleetwood, John McVie, Stevie Nicks, and Christine McVie along with newcomers Mike Campbell and Neil Finn.
