Warner Animation Group keeps on dishing out the animated features with their cadre of DC Universe superheroes at an unrelenting clip and since so many of them have been awesome, I’m happy to help broadcast the latest upcoming feature which is “Justice League Vs. The Fatal Five”. Let’s take a look down below at the clip, some light premise as was secured from IMDB and the voice casting.
Premise: When a hulking monster emerges from an underground resting place and begins a mindless rampage, the Justice League is quickly called in to stop the colossal force of nature. But it soon becomes apparent that only Superman can stand against the monstrosity that has been nicknamed Doomsday. Battling their way throughout America, the two fight to a standstill as they reach the heart of Metropolis. Going punch for punch, Superman finally ends the threat of Doomsday as he throws one last punch and collapses forever. (thanks Wiki).

PiercingMetal Thoughts: I have to say that the DC Universe animated movies are miles ahead of anything that they have released on the big screen that feature some of our favorite superheroes. Of course as a faithful comics fan to canon, I get a little rant going when too many liberties are taken. This trailer looks great but I did have one qualm as a reader of the original issues as they played out. When Doomsday fought the Justice League, he did so while half secured in the suit you see him in. He only had one arm free and he pretty much wiped out the League. It was a testament to the creatures unbridled power that he could and did beat the Justice League as a whole with one arm tied behind his back. Anyway, that’s just me bitching and moaning. The plot of this one is pretty self-explanatory because in the comics Superman did die. It will be interesting to see this scene played out in an animated film. What do you think of this trailer? Chime in down below.
I didn’t rush to share this one with the readership because the only release information that was unveiled was “the Fall” so I felt I could address other posts and get around to this when I could. So here we are with another CW Seed web episode offering and this one is called “Freedom Fighters: The Ray”. Much like the previous superhero webisodes around “Vixen”, “FFTR” takes place as a part of the Arrowverse in some sense. Check out the trailer below and then enjoy some of the revealed voice casting.
The Premise: Raymond “Ray” Terrill is a reporter who discovers a genetic light bomb in his investigation of a secret government project attempting to harness the power of light and weaponize it. The bomb goes off, and instead of killing him, gives him light-based powers, and he is recruited to join the Freedom Fighters.

I’ve posted a couple of items about the upcoming animated feature “The Lego Batman Movie” and if this is new news to you, please check out the trailer post that was loaded up HERE back in July as it should bring you up to speed about the film. With the movie opening up in the early part of the coming year, they released just over a handful of the Character Posters a few days ago and since I love sharing those types of things with the readers I am doing so below. Enjoy.
I’ve been enjoying the DC Animated features for a few years now and quite honestly I think I like them a lot more than the actual big screen live-action films for the most part. For me they are better extensions of the comic book page and with that please allow me to share the latest film being offered up “Justice League Dark”. I’ve got some additional thoughts at the close as well so dig in.
