As you’ve most likely learned by now, Sony Pictures will be expanding the world of the Amazing Spider-Man with a number of films despite the characters long awaited inclusion in the Marvel Cinematic Universe where he rightfully belongs. One of these films is “Venom” which stars Tom Hardy as the famous “villain” and the first teaser trailer for it was just released. Let’s take a look.
Tom Hardy as Eddie Brock/Venom
Michelle Williams as Ann Weying
Riz Ahmed as Carlton Drake
PiercingMetal Thoughts: Move along folks, not much to see here…..yet. I don’t usually talk much about the teasers but will say that this one was a big disappointment. Sure we see some action and some Tom Hardy but nothing with the actual character of Venom in it. They are probably saving that for the longer trailer which will come I imagine in a few more weeks. I guess its too early for an overall premise to include here but at least we got the casting of a few of the characters we will find in the film. That’s all I will say for now. What did you readers think? A quick notation is welcome before we get the full on trailer. Ciao for now.
As I write this, the American International Toy Fair is around the corner and some of the companies are offering up sneak peeks at the lines being debuted at this massive trade only event. I’ve featured the Hasbro Toys action figures from their “Marvel Legends” series on numerous occasions so I was happy to see some advance reveals for the “Venom” and “Deadpool” series. As you know, each of these characters will be featured in film this year and I can hardly wait. Let’s take a look.
I’ll start of with what was revealed from the “Venom” line. In this we get a couple of the 6″ action figures that are a part of the “Marvel Legends Series” and two of the larger figures.
For many years, “The Incredible Hulk” was one of my very favorite Marvel Comics titles to read and this might have been helped by the Lou Ferrigno television show but I digress. This February Marvel celebrates the Jade Giant with a series of variant covers. I’ve shared the ones that were released to press for you below along with the brief statement about them. Check it out.
The Press Release:

The news about these awesome “Avengers” variants first hit back in October, but since they only shared “5” cover images in that release and I had other comic items to put on your radar, I waited until today to do this one. Now we have “15” of the “21” total covers so I hope you enjoy them all.
