Ozzy Osbourne Postpones All 2019 Tour Dates

It was just the other day that I was wondering how the legendary Ozzy Osbourne was coming along after his recent need to postpone some dates on his “No More Tours 2” adventures and while sitting at a press conference for the Lucha Libre, I received the following press statement and wasted no time in sharing it with you all. Read on.

The Press Release:
OZZY OSBOURNE will postpone all his 2019 tour dates, inclusive of shows in North America and Europe, as he recovers from an injury sustained while dealing with his recent bout of pneumonia. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee and Grammy®-winning singer and songwriter and 2019 Grammy® Special Merit Award recipient fell at his Los Angeles home aggravating years-old injuries (from his 2003 ATV accident) that required surgery last month. OSBOURNE will remain under doctor’s care in Los Angeles as he recovers.

Ozzy Osbourne Cancels Australia, New Zealand and Japan “No More Tours 2” Dates To Recover From Pneumonia

It was only under two weeks ago that we shared the news about Ozzy Osbourne being hospitalized due to the flu (seen HERE) and sadly this ended up becoming pneumonia which is not good at all and finds the musician cancelling numerous live performances to properly recover. Earlier this morning his media team shared the following information.

The Press Release:
Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee and Grammy®-winning singer and songwriter OZZY OSBOURNE has announced that he will now cancel shows in Australia, New Zealand and Japan. This follows news of the postponement of the entire UK and European leg of his “NO MORE TOURS 2” tour on doctors’ orders.

“Ozzy recently developed pneumonia and has spent some time in hospital. Thankfully he is now through the worst part,” says Sharon Osbourne. “His doctors have advised that he stay at home to recuperate for a full six weeks with no travel.”

PiercingMetal Thoughts: I am going to repeat my last closing commentary. In addition to saying “Get Well Soon Ozzy”, I want to stress that all of you be careful out there and especially those of you who are always in big crowds. It doesn’t hurt to carry a small bottle of Purell with you and a packet of Kleenex tissues. During cold and flu season I’d eliminate hand shaking in full and move to fist bumps. Wash your hands often and cover your mouth when you cough to prevent ruining someone else’s day. Sorry for being preachy but I am on the trains every single day and night and sometimes the behavior of other passengers makes me want to run for the hills but I can’t since I am trapped in the car. Once again I say “Get Well Soon Ozzy” and you people be careful as well.

Arch Enemy Postpones North American “Will To Power” Tour

It wasn’t long ago back in May where we shared the news about the upcoming Arch Enemy “Will To Power” North American Tour and as August warms itself up for a solid month of Metal awareness with a cup of coffee we must share that this entire run of dates has been postponed due to “circumstances”. “We very much regret to inform you that we will be postponing our return to North America until 2019. We were looking forward to seeing everyone again this Fall and to share our stage with Goatwhore and Uncured, but we have been forced to cancel this run due to reasons beyond our control. Taake’s North American Spring Tour Is Cancelled

It was only a few weeks ago that we helped share the news about the Springtime North American tour by Black Metal’s own Taake. The scoop was HERE in case you want to reference it, but now onto the sad news – due to venues being threatened by members representing the Antifa group, this entire tour is now cancelled. It began with the NYC show which I was interested in seeing but more on that later. Below is the original poster and the dates that are now in the proverbial crapper. Make sure that you get your money back if you have already secured them.

Xandria Cancels 2nd Leg North American Tour

We were getting pretty excited about the upcoming return of Xandria to our region since it was going to also bring along Kobra and The Lotus (who we love) and September Mourning (who we also greatly enjoyed) but then we saw this Facebook notice go by. I have copied it in full for your perusal. Check it out.

Facebook Statement:
“Dear all,

Some bad and some good news, folks: Starting with the bad news first: It comes with grief and sadness that our singer Dianne cannot perform with us for the time being. Sometimes these things are beyond your own power and there is a life offside the stages of the world which requires appropriate attention, so please bear with us.

This unfortunately also means that we have to cancel the upcoming Russia shows in Moscow and St. Petersburg as well as the following US tour in the end of September and October. We are already working on new dates for these stretches, yet can’t determine an exact time window by now already. Please stay alerted for ticket-return info in here and where you purchased your tickets.

As for short term solutions: Our dear friend Aeva Maurelle (https://de-de.facebook.com/aevamaurelleofficial/) of our buddies from alternative metal band Aeverium – Official Site will step in to rock with us the European dates in November and December.
