Back in January, I helped share the news about the comic book milestone issue #750 for DC Comics “The Flash”. For this special edition one-shot, there would be a series of “Decades” variants much like the ones we saw for “Wonder Woman” #750. My variant covers “reveal” post for “The Flash” #750 can be examined HERE. The standard edition of this special edition is presented for you below and then I decided to have a little fun.
Since it was New Comic Book Day and since we were in our local comic book shop (Galaxy Comics in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn), I decided to have some fun and capture a quick video of all the individual issues on the racks and say a little bit about the whole batch. It makes for some good YouTube Channel content and we’d love to have you as subscribers on this medium so be sure to click HERE, choose “subscribe” and click the bell to be alerted to any newness.
PiercingMetal Thoughts: As I noted that was likely to do when this hit the stands, I picked up a single copy of the issue that you see in this post because I don’t have the space for “8” additional issues of a single title anymore. Let me add to the fact that there is also going to be a special edition “Green Lantern” and “Joker” issue coming and those will also run between 8-10 dollars apiece. I miss the days when this hobby wasn’t as expensive as its become. So what do you readers think about this announcement? Will you be purchasing this special edition of “The Flash” or its multiple variant covers? Chime in down below in the comments section. See you next time.
The Press Release:
On March 4th, the landmark The Flash #750 hits comic book stores and participating digital retailers, spotlighting the Scarlet Speedster and including incredible stories from Flash’s past, present and future. This oversized tribute to one of pop culture’s speediest heroes is guaranteed to become a collectors’ item when it hits stores!
As a fan of the series of DC Comics superhero shows that air each and every week on The CW Entertainment network, one of the highlights is the crossover that brings these characters together for a unified cause. Some of the highlight crossovers for me was the “Crisis On Earth X” one and of course last year’s “Elseworlds” and now its time for the seeds that were planted in them to manifest in “Crisis On Infinite Earths”. The extended trailer was just revealed and the adventures begin this coming Sunday, December 8th. Take a look.
About The Crossover: “Crisis on Infinite Earths” is the upcoming sixth annual Arrowverse crossover event, featuring episodes of the live-action television series Supergirl, Batwoman, The Flash, Arrow, and Legends of Tomorrow on The CW. The Supergirl, Batwoman, and The Flash episodes will air in December 2019, while the Arrow and Legends of Tomorrow episodes will air in January 2020. Additionally, events in the Black Lightning episode “The Book of Resistance: Chapter Four: Earth Crisis”, airing between Batwoman and The Flash, will also tie-in to the crossover. A two-issue comic will also tie into the crossover, featuring characters and concepts not able to appear in the live-action episodes.
The season premiers for The CW Network of DC Superhero shows continue with the sixth season debut of “The Flash”. It’s been a vibrant week as shows like “Batwoman”, “Supergirl” and “Black Lightning” have already premiered. You can click those hyperlinked titles to learn more about those shows if you aren’t a regular viewer. Let’s revisit the fifth season happenings and enjoy the poster and some casting down below.
Season 5 Recap: During the fifth season, the team discover that Nora’s presence has altered the timeline and unleashed Cicada, a serial killer bent on killing metahumans. They also eventually learn of her allegiance with Eobard, who orchestrated Nora’s arrival and Cicada. Barry and Nora succeed in subduing Eobard, but are forced to let him go and Nora is erased from the timeline. Unbeknownst to everyone, this event in turn causes the crisis that Barry disappears in to take place earlier than expected. The CW Network has been giving us some great DC Comics superhero shows with “Arrow”, “The Flash”, “Supergirl” and “Legends Of Tomorrow”. They also gave us “Black Lightning” not too long ago but that show doesn’t happen in the same universe as the other four do. Now its time for the annual multi-show crossover event and this year The Legends are not taking part in it but we should be fine without them as they deliver “Elseworlds”. Check out the cool poster down below.
They’ve also delivered some quick teaser clips which I’ve added down below as well.
