Slayer brings “The Final Campaign” to NYC and yes my friends this will be the very last time that the legendary band performs in our Metal Metropolis. They’ll be joined by Ministry, Primus and Philip H. Anselmo and The Illegals. If you miss this one, you’re about to get your Metal ID Card revoked.
Though I’ve been documenting the news for some time now since it’s all been initially announced, it seems as though the end is drawing ever so closer for fans of the legendary Slayer. Just a short time ago the band revealed what is listed as “The Final Campaign” which will lead them to the end of their storied career and dominance in the Heavy Metal genre. Read on down below.
The Press Release:
On Saturday, November 2, 2019, Slayer – Tom Araya/bass and vocals, Kerry King/guitars, Gary Holt/guitars, and Paul Bostaph/drums – will set off on The Final Campaign, the seventh and final leg of its farewell world tour. This last hurrah will start at the ExploreAsheville Arena in Asheville, NC, and see the band taking its goodbye bow at the Los Angeles Forum on Saturday, November 30. Slayer’s Final World Tour began on May 10, 2018 with the band’s intention to play as many places as possible, to make it easy for the fans to see one last Slayer show and say goodbye. By the time the 18-month trek wraps on November 30, the band will have completed seven tour legs plus a series of one-off major summer festivals, performing more than 140 shows in 30-countries and 40 U.S. states.
Slayer brings their farewell tour to Camden, NJ and the bands Lamb Of God, Amon Amarth and Cannibal Corpse.
Music fans in my neck of the woods are going to be looking into relocation before October hits based on this sure to be crushing Festival event. It’s the kind of music festival my friends and I clamor for but instead we get The Governors Ball and Panorama Music Festival. Sigh. Anyway, without further adieu I share with you the announcement about the debut of the Exit 111 Music Festival. Read on down below to the full press release and prepare to be stunned by the lineup.
The Press Release:
EXIT 111 Festival will debut with a heavyweight line-up that celebrates all forms of rock–from hard to classic, alternative to southern–when it debuts October 11-13 at the Great Stage Park in Manchester, TN. The inaugural three-day event hosted by Eddie Trunk will be led by headlining slots from Guns N’ Roses, Def Leppard, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and a mix of platinum-selling artists including Slayer (in the last Tennessee show of their career), ZZ Top, Deftones, Ghost, Megadeth and more than 40 acts (full line-up below). Tickets for EXIT 111 go on sale Thursday, April 25 at 12:00 PM (ET), with additional ticketing info below.
Produced by C3 Presents and AC Entertainment, the massive footprint of the festival site–known to millions as the home of the Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival–will be transformed into a rock and roll playground with the all-star line-up appearing on three stages with 12 hours of music daily, camping and a variety of activities tailored specifically to concert-goers. This marks the first-ever event, beyond Bonnaroo, to utilize the 700-plus acre farm. On site adventures include Paranormal Cirque (an R-rated crazy yet fun fusion between circus, theatre, and cabaret in perfect harmony with the evolution of a show that brings you back to when we dream…and when we had nightmares and fantasies), the first annual EXIT 111 car show, Red Bull motocross demonstrations and a mega sports bar airing full sports coverage throughout the weekend, with more activities announced soon.

Back in December, the band announced “LEG 5” of this Farewell Run and while the finer details can be perused HERE, this last go round begins in May. All of this leads me to the press release that recently hit my mailbox. Check it out.
The Press Release:
The end is near for mighty trash metal gods Slayer, continuing their Final World Tour with Leg 5 kicking off in May and hitting several dates across the U.S. including BB&T Pavilion on 5/24.
