Slayer brings “The Final Campaign” to NYC and yes my friends this will be the very last time that the legendary band performs in our Metal Metropolis. They’ll be joined by Ministry, Primus and Philip H. Anselmo and The Illegals. If you miss this one, you’re about to get your Metal ID Card revoked.
The Press Release:
After much speculation instigated by two video trailers released earlier this summer, SLAYER – Tom Araya, Kerry King, Gary Holt and Paul Bostaph – in conjunction with Nuclear Blast Records and Prime Zero Productions, announces SLAYER The Repentless Killogy motion picture and companion LP/CD, “The Repentless Killogy, Live At The Forum in Inglewood, CA.” Coming November 8, 2019, the narrative short film paired with SLAYER ’s entire performance of its August 5, 2017 concert at the Los Angeles Forum will be available digitally and on Blu-ray, and the soundtrack from that concert will be released as both a two-disc vinyl and two CD packages. In addition to the standard black vinyl, eight limited-edition colored vinyl configurations will be available: red, gold and silver vinyl, red/black & orange splatter, red/orange swirl, red/black splatter, yellow/red corona, and black/white corona Pre-orders can be placed HERE. Check out the trailer for this special movie release below.
Revenge, murder, bloodshed and retribution. The “Repentless Killogy” film was written and directed by BJ McDonnell, who conceived and directed the three brutal music videos – “You Against You,” “Repentless,” and “Pride in Prejudice”- for SLAYER’s final studio album Repentless (2015). “When we set out to do these initial three videos,” said McDonnell, “we had the intention of continuing the next adventures of SLAYER and Wyatt on a following album. But, SLAYER announced that Repentless was the final album and tour, so this story, the videos, and finally a full live concert at the end is a perfect wrap up of the Repentless final tour. This is the finale of SLAYER. This is the end of the monsters.”

Hey remember last week when we talked about the Slayer NASCAR Car? You don’t? Well, if you didn’t you can click HERE to see what I mean but it doesn’t seem to matter anymore as you will learn by the latest news about this.
The Press Release:
Last week, Slayer announced that it had joined Rick Ware Racing as the primary sponsor for the No. 54 entry at tomorrow’s Bristol Motor Speedway. Today, reportedly due to reactionary concerns from other long-time participating sponsors, Slayer has been pulled as the primary sponsor, and all Slayer signage has been removed from the car that was to be piloted by Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series veteran, JJ Yeley. The incontrovertible PODS Moving & Storage will now sponsor that car. After nearly 40 years, Slayer apparently remains as terrifying to some as ever.

PiercingMetal Thoughts: I’m going to get on a soapbox and say that with so many more important things to be concerned about like rampant gun violence, gender and racial inequality and hatred along with all of the political vitriol that seems to consume the Facebook and Twitter feeds these days that people need to chill the eff out about a band sponsoring a racing car. Dear other close-minded sponsors…..Slayer was not going to convert you to the Dark Lord or eat your children during the race. Please get a grip on yourselves. Slayer fans should do some digging and find out who complained and send angry letters to these companies Facebook Pages or stop using the products they are responsible for. Remember my friends, the power of being a consumer is a very good one and companies don’t like to be hit in their fat wallets. That’s all I have to say about the matter and about the race that I wasn’t going to be watching anyway. Don’t forget that Slayer is now on their “The Final Campaign” of a tour and that means the end is nigh for the bands storied career. Dates and more can be found HERE so don’t miss out because that will be it. Feel free to chime in with your own soapboxing if you like but don’t get too crazy since we are a mostly all-ages appropriate kind of a Metal site.
Back in the early days of July we shared the news about “The Final Campaign” which is the last leg on Slayers Farewell Tour and if you were off-planet or exploring the deep blue sea at the time and missed this news just click HERE to be up to date. This announcement is something completely different but still fun to bring to your attention. Presenting the Slayer NASCAR set of wheels.
