PiercingMetal Thoughts: As I noted earlier today, I’ve only actually read a couple of the compendium editions myself as I was too late to catch up on the individual issues for an affordable price when it came to the earliest ones. I learned this was ending via the grapevine and made sure to purchase a copy at my local shop when I learned that some where still available once I finished seeing “Spider-Man: Far From Home”. This truly came out of nowhere and will cause the fanatics some heartache as they seek a first printing of the mega-popular series. Did you readers snag one or are you stuck waiting on the second printing that will be available on Monday. Chime in down below.

“I’ll say it again, I love (loved… oh, god, I’m not ready for past tense) writing this series. I really don’t want it to end. In fact, I’ve been… kind of unsettled since I wrote the script for this issue. The whole thing just feels… weird,” Kirkman wrote in the letter. “In a way, killing this series has been a lot like killing a major character. Much, much harder… but the same feeling. I don’t WANT to do it. I’d rather keep going… but the story is telling me what it wants and what it needs. This needs to happen. Whether I want it or not.”

This first full-sized issue begins 10 years after the climax of THE HERO DEFINED and finds the everyman hero Kevin Matchstick at an unexpected point in his life. Throughout these events, Kevin keeps hoping for the same mystical guidance that has mentored him in the past. “Who is the third Mage?!”

McFarlane Toys & Skybound Reveal SDCC 2017 Exclusive “The Walking Dead” Set

The Comic Con International: San Diego will be happening in the middle of July and since I am seeing a number of exclusive items that will be available at the convention, I wanted to share as many of them as I could. As you all know, we regularly attend the Toy Fair convention and see a lot of awesome companies which makes me happy to share the skinny on the collaboration that McFarlane Toys and Skybound will be offering to consumers. It’s a group of “The Walking Dead” characters done in the vintage-style packaging of the 3.75″ G.I. Joe’s. They are calling them “The Shiva Force”, and they are “A Real Apocalypse Hero” which I had to chuckle when I saw that. The figures are as follows Rick Grimes, Michonne, Ezekiel and Shiva (the tiger) in his action figure debut. According to what I am reading these figures are inspired by G.I. Joe Tiger Force, and they are painted to match the look. I used to collect these G. I. Joe’s but have no recall of The Tiger Force. Perhaps I missed those ones. Anyway here is some press and the images. I will close out with some editorial as well. Behold!
