So here I am once more in the playground of the costumed hearts, One more experience, one more entry in a diary, self-photographed – You’ll have to pardon my slight revision of the lyrical masterpiece that is “Script For A Jester’s Tear” by Marillion from back in 1983. Greetings my friends and welcome back to another exciting chapter of my coverage of the 2018 New York Comic Con. As I’ve noted in an earlier chapter, this is my 9th straight year of attending the convention and I am blown away by how big its become. It’s the highlight of many a geeks year and I can’t blame them since there is so much to enjoy. In the preceding chapter, I lauded the benefits of the Cheerios cereal found in the Family Room and here is the box that I secured my stash in during the days wander.
Generally speaking, I start my first day coverage in “The Block” but so far today I was being aimless and drifting about from section to section. I wanted to see some artist friends so quickly headed to the Artist Alley area.
The legendary Marv Wolfman was at the convention this year. I never met him before and was happy to get a chance to say hello.
