Xandria Announces 2nd Leg North American Tour

We’ve been interested in the music of Xandria here at the Metal Command HQ for some time and it’s wonderful that they’ve been able to come over to this side of the ocean and entertain their fans. We first managed to catch them in concert when they were one of the openers for the mighty Sonata Arctica but then there was too long of a break in their US Touring action until only recently when they hit the road and brought an exciting package to our live stages with support from Sirenia and MindMaze. If you missed those shows when they rumbled through you surely missed out but now you have a second chance as the band announces a second leg return. Check out their quick Official Facebook page announcement along with the tour dates. I’ll return at the close with additional thoughts.

Per Facebook:
USA here we come again! What would be more fitting after the great success of our 1st US Headlining run in may than doing a 2nd stretch in Oktober? Right…nothing! Well, except doing another one with our buddies from KOBRA AND THE LOTUS and September Mourning! Hell Yeah!! So many cities we haven’t rocked sofar! Well here we go again! Get your tickets NOW! Otep Announces “Generation Doom” Tour For Spring 2016

Hey there Metalheads, how is February treating you so far? Has it been a good one or a bad one? If it’s been the latter, then I guess it’s pretty awesome to find it closing up its book on us and prepping the path for a nice March Metal Madness. Now since I know a lot of you are fans of Otep Shamaya and her Metal adventures in music and activism, I am sure that being tipped off about her upcoming tour in the Spring will be of interest to you. I’ve copied the full on press release for you below so check it out. Don’t worry, I’ll add some closing thoughts in as well since that is what I am here for.

Tour - Otep - Generation Doom - 2016

The Press Release:
Formed from the poetic marrow of creative intercourse, OTEP is more than a band. OTEP is an Art Movement, a Revolution; Breaking ground. Breaking rules. Breaking barriers. Articulate. Aggressive. OTEP ‘s seventh studio album and Napalm Records debut: GENERATION DOOM produced by Howard Benson will be released April 15th.

New Year’s Music Resolutions For 2013: Part 4

When I do my NY Comic Con coverage, I always refer to the fourth chapter or segment as being my “Fantastic Fourth” edition since its kind of aimed at the comic book of the same name. Since
I could not come up with anything different as I compiled all of these resolution responses you will just have to bear with me as I use it once more to proudly welcome readers to our “Fantastic Fourth” chapter of “New Year’s Music Resolutions for 2013”; That’s all I have for you now, so get thee reading.

1. Erik Kliuber (Gypsyhawk): For 2013 I resolve to keep doing what I’ve been doing with music. Writing, performing, and learning new music is a state of being. I have to force myself to write a little to a lot every day I’m home. I’ll have very limited free time next year due to touring and having to work shitty jobs between tours. The next album has to be even better than “Revelry and Resilience”.

2. Elizabeth Schall (Dreaming Dead): To embrace my fears, doubts, my convictions, embrace my truth and turn each one of them into music.

3. Carmine Appice (Cactus/Vanilla Fudge/King Kobra): My New Year’s Music Resolution is to gig as much as I can with all my different bands from my past!!!
