PiercingMetal Thoughts: I have to say that the DC Universe animated movies are miles ahead of anything that they have released on the big screen that feature some of our favorite superheroes. Of course as a faithful comics fan to canon, I get a little rant going when too many liberties are taken. This trailer looks great but I did have one qualm as a reader of the original issues as they played out. When Doomsday fought the Justice League, he did so while half secured in the suit you see him in. He only had one arm free and he pretty much wiped out the League. It was a testament to the creatures unbridled power that he could and did beat the Justice League as a whole with one arm tied behind his back. Anyway, that’s just me bitching and moaning. The plot of this one is pretty self-explanatory because in the comics Superman did die. It will be interesting to see this scene played out in an animated film. What do you think of this trailer? Chime in down below.
The end of the hectic Monday is here my friends and by now I hope you are sitting down and relaxing to some programs you enjoy or tooling around on the web to see what is brewing. I’m going to interrupt the solace just a tad bit to let you know that the official trailer for the next Netflix Marvel Television series is here – Presenting “Luke Cage” Season 2. Dig it.
Premise: When a sabotaged experiment gives him super strength and unbreakable skin, Luke Cage becomes a fugitive attempting to rebuild his life in Harlem and must soon confront his past and fight a battle for the heart of his city. After clearing his name, Cage becomes a hero and celebrity in Harlem, only to encounter a new threat that makes him confront the line between hero and villain.
By now I am hoping that you have watched the first two seasons of “Daredevil” along with the first seasons of “Jessica Jones”, “Luke Cage” and “Iron Fist” as a subscriber to Netflix because its all been leading up to this mini-series “The Defenders” where ALL of these mighty heroes and numerous players from across their respective shows will appear and unite against a common foe. If you have only recently subscribed to Netflix, then you have some serious binge watching to do and I recommend you keep these shows in order since much like the big screen hero counterparts, this does take place in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and there is referencing throughout the shows. Take a look at the official poster and the premise and casting below.
