Back in February, I shared the big artist and other cool festival reveals for this years “Rocklahoma” event (seen HERE in cast you missed it). Since that time there have been some sad developments as Ozzy Osbourne was injured (noted HERE) and has cancelled ALL of his appearances for the year. You can read the update below about the festival.
The song “I Don’t Like Mondays” is not going to be hitting too many live music fans playlists as long as awesome tour announcements keep being rolled out on this generally not looked forward to day. It was only hours ago that I shared the update from Iron Maiden (seen HERE) and now comes the news that both Korn and Alice In Chains will be heading out on a summer co-headlining run. Check out the full press release and dates below the poster. Happy Monday to you all if I didn’t say it earlier.

NEW YORK– September 22, 2016– SiriusXM announced today that multi-platinum Grammy-winning rock band Korn will perform a special invitation-only show for SiriusXM on Friday, October 21 at the beautifully ornate Theatre at Ace Hotel in Downtown Los Angeles. The special performance for SiriusXM will feature Korn performing songs from their upcoming studio album, The Serenity of Suffering, which is scheduled to be released on October 21, as well as songs from their 20+ year career.
“It’s an important night for us,” said guitarist James ‘Munky’ Shaffer, ”we’ll be celebrating our album release, while bringing together our hometown fans and the listeners of SiriusXM Octane, who have been so incredibly supportive of Korn for so long.”
The band Korn are leaders of the Nu-Metal pack and while I was almost always more of the casual fan of the band over the years I am still shaking my head at the news that they are reaching their own 20th Anniversary. “This cannot be true” I said to myself but alas I was not reading the paperwork wrong. The band is indeed at their second decade and to close out the 20th Anniversary year are doing numerous dates at some truly intimate spaces. Check out the press release and poster that I received and then we can discuss a little bit more.
