The Premise: “NOS4A2 follows Victoria “Vic” McQueen, a young working-class artist who discovers that she has a supernatural ability to track the seemingly immortal Charlie Manx. Manx feeds off the souls of children, then deposits what remains of them into Christmasland — a twisted Christmas Village of Manx’s imagination where every day is Christmas Day and unhappiness is against the law. Vic must strive to defeat Manx and rescue his victims — without losing her mind or falling victim to him herself.” (c/o Wiki).

AMC Presents: “NOS4A2” Official Season Trailer “A Fight For Their Souls”

If you’ve been following this website for at least a couple of years by now, you know that I am pretty much 50/50 with my Metal and Rock items as I am with my Pop Culture focuses and to be completely honest, considering the amount of comic book, horror and science fiction stuff that is out there for me to talk about these days; it’s only going to pick up steam. So it was just over a week ago that I shared the teaser trailer for this show that I must admit was a very new thing for me and now we have a longer trailer to enjoy. The show is called “NOS4A2” and stars Zachary Quinto (Spock, Dr. Manhattan, more) and is a different take on the vampire tale that comes from an original story by Joe Hill (son of Stephen King). Let’s watch.

The Premise: “NOS4A2 follows Victoria “Vic” McQueen, a young working-class artist who discovers that she has a supernatural ability to track the seemingly immortal Charlie Manx. In my constant effort to make our Pop Culture focuses as often as the Heavy Music ones, I am constantly keeping a look out for a trailer or series announcement that falls into the comic book, science fiction or horror realm and needless to say its been rather bountiful. This latest one for a new series called “NOS4A2” was a mystery to me because while I am considering myself an avid reader, I’ve slacked over the last couple of years and need to fix that. I did some research and discovered the book was by Joe Hill who is the son of the legendary Stephen King. Let’s take a look at the teaser trailer for this new show coming to AMC.

Warner Brothers Pictures “The Meg” Official Trailer (2018)

In 2018, we will all have another reason to be afraid to go into the water thanks to “The Meg” which is short for “Megalodon” which means giant frigging Great White Shark. I’ve had interest in reading the novel that this film is based on and the first trailer for the upcoming Warner Brother Pictures release is presented below for your perusal.

The Premise: After escaping an attack by what he claims was by a 70-foot shark, Jonas Taylor must confront his fears to save those trapped in a sunken submersible (c/o IMDB).

The Cast/Characters:
Jason Statham as Jonas Taylor
Li Bingbing as Suyin Zhang
Rainn Wilson as Jack Morris
Ruby Rose as Jaxx Herd
Winston Chao as Dr. Minway Zhang
Cliff Curtis as James “Mac” Mackreides
Page Kennedy as DJ
Jessica McNamee as Celeste
Olafur Darri Olafsson as The Wall
Robert Taylor as Dr. Heller
Shuya Sophia Cai as Meiying
Masi Oka as Toshi
Rob Kipa-Williams as D’Angelo
Tawanda Manyimo as Marks

PiercingMetal Thoughts: I loved this trailer and felt that it brings back some of the monster shark craze that hit when “Jaws” was release so many years ago. I read that book long before I saw it in the movies and even the book had me off water for awhile. Of course this fear didn’t apply to the bathtub despite my youthful insistence and parents, I fear we might find this sort of behavior resurfacing thanks to “The Meg”. Personally speaking, I love giant monster films and since Megalodon is an ancient predator he falls into that category when it comes to this film. I’m also a Jason Statham fan so look forward to seeing this one. What did you think of the trailer? Let me know down in the comments section below and to close out I’ve shared from teaser posters.
