Back when we first lauded the 2020 North American Tour by Amaranthe (seen HERE) we were pretty darned stoked based on it was not only a long overdue return but one that was bringing along two exciting bands on the run in Battle Beast and Seven Spires. Of course, the world changed in the middle of March and as result event after event after event was getting cancelled and now Amaranthe has revealed their pending plans will not be taking place either. Today, the band are sad to report with the current state of the Covid-19 pandemic their upcoming North American 2020 tour is cancelled. All ticket holders will be refunded by the service where they made the purchase. Please note the promoters are working diligently to refund the payments in a timely manner and appreciate ticket holders patience during the process. I’ve been doing my best to keep the masses informed in regards to the tour and special event cancellations and the streaming experiences that seem to pop up on a regular basis based on the aforementioned postponements. With that being said, the Finnish band Battle Beast revealed that they too will be embarking on a special live stream event and this one follows the one that we announced from The 69 Eyes by happening the following day. Bands announcing special streaming concerts is no longer new news as the Coronavirus Pandemic reaches its third month or so and finds events postponed until later or cancelled in full still being announced. Dear fans in USA and Canada. Amorphis is sad to announce that due to the Covid-19 also our ”Tales From The Thousand Lakes” anniversary-tour is cancelled. We were optimistic to the very end but it looks like there’s not going to be any tours for quite a while now. However, the anniversary-tour will happen. A rescheduling of the tour dates is planned but obviously not set yet as nobody knows how long this pandemia is going to take.
