It’s been a few years since the film “Predators” was released and with new chapters in the “Alien” franchise happening it makes all the sense in the world to find the galaxy’s most insidious hunters returning to the game. 20th Century Fox has just released the first look at their arrival in “The Predator”. Let’s watch.
A young boy accidentally triggers an alert that brings the Predators to back to Earth. The universe’s most lethal hunters have genetically upgraded themselves with DNA from other alien species and only a crew of former soldiers along with a disgruntled science teacher can stop the hunters before everybody becomes their prey. I’ve been on a bit of a social media and Internet silence since the opening of “Avengers: Infinity War” because I didn’t want any of the film spoiled on me but as you are reading this, I am just now home from seeing it and all I can say is “HOLY WOWZAWOW”. It was awesome, but its rather long. You must go to see it ASAP because so many people are talking about it and I don’t want anyone to miss key points. This film has already made over $725 million dollars and it only opened last Friday. As I returned to my home I was overjoyed to learn that the latest trailer for the upcoming “Ant Man and The Wasp” film was available to share with you so here we go.
The world might be getting amped up for “Avengers: Infinity War” which opens up this week and while this is pretty much the biggest news in the film releases about the super-hero stuff; Sony Pictures is going to be expanding the world of the Amazing Spider-Man with a number of films of their own. Back in February we got a teaser trailer for the “Venom” film which stars Tom Hardy but it didn’t show much of anything and it was only a short time ago that the first full Official Trailer was released. Check it out.
Tom Hardy as Eddie Brock/Venom
Michelle Williams as Ann Weying
Riz Ahmed as Carlton Drake
PiercingMetal Thoughts: I’ve noted before that I am not too sure how I feel about a Venom character without the Amazing Spider-Man involved at any point and as you can see by this longer traler, Sony has really taken some liberties with his origin story. It looks like it will be exciting but I think we are going to get more tendril scenes and explosions than The Big Guy as was disclosed by some notable Vloggers recently. Though I’m willing to give it a shot, I am more content and satisfied with the Marvel Cinematic Universe since they have done so well for the past ten years. What do you readers think about this trailer? Chime in down below in the comments. Oh yeah and before I go, please be sure to gaze on the newly released poster. It follows the teaser one that I shared once more in this post.
Though we are still about a week away from the opening of “Avengers: Infinity War”, the excitement is also building up for the next installment in the Jurassic World franchise with the film “Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom” and this summary is here to let you know that the third and final trailer has been released. Let’s check that out along with some reminder premise and casting.
The Plot: A volcanic eruption threatens the remaining dinosaurs on the island of Isla Nublar, where the creatures have freely roamed for several years after the demise of an animal theme park known as Jurassic World. Claire Dearing, the former park manager, has now founded the Dinosaur Protection Group, an organization dedicated to protecting the dinosaurs. To help with her cause, Claire has recruited Owen Grady, a former dinosaur trainer who worked at the park, to prevent the extinction of the dinosaurs…again. (thanks Wiki). The big screen is going to blow up big time thanks to the the upcoming “Deadpool 2” film which brings the misadventures of the Merc with a Mouth to life once more and since this film is around the corner in terms of opening, a Final Trailer has been released. Check it out below.
Per The YouTube Video Page: After surviving a near fatal bovine attack, a disfigured cafeteria chef (Wade Wilson) struggles to fulfill his dream of becoming Mayberry’s hottest bartender while also learning to cope with his lost sense of taste. Searching to regain his spice for life, as well as a flux capacitor, Wade must battle ninjas, the yakuza, and a pack of sexually aggressive canines, as he journeys around the world to discover the importance of family, friendship, and flavor – finding a new taste for adventure and earning the coveted coffee mug title of World’s Best Lover.
PiercingMetal Thoughts: As previously noted in our earlier trailer posts, the film is NOT about what it says above. This trailer seems to give away too much and I don’t know why they choose to do this. Maybe some films need it done, like “Fantastic Four” (which was terrible) and “Justice League” (which was “meh”) and “Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice” (which was a massive disappointment) but based on the box office numbers of the first film, its safe to say that “Deadpool 2” will not need any help. I like what I saw here and think Cable is going to be a solid character to have in the X-Men universe of films along with the other members of X-Force. You know that they will get a film of their own eventually too. That’s all I am going to say here because I am getting ready to attend a couple of Metal shows and then one of the days of the NYC Hot Sauce Expo and in addition to that, the “Avengers: Infinity War” film is opening up next week and I am STOKED for that one. What did you think of the trailer? Chime in down below as usual.
