Steel Panther Unveils “Butthole Burner” Guitar Effects Pedal

steel panther logo

The Press Release:
California rock legends and effects pedal entrepreneurs Steel Panther continue to light the music instrument world on fire with the release of their newest guitar pedal – The Butthole Burner. Made in the USA, the latest distortion pedal from the collective brain trust features the exact same circuit as the now infamous Pussy Melter pedal. The new pedal has long been a rumor started by Panther guitarist Satchel and will become a reality when it ships to the public this summer. The limited production run Butthole Burner will retail for $199.99. Not immune to the effects of the current Covid-19 pandemic as their partying has come to a stop because drug dealers are not classified as essential personnel, Steel Panther has set up an interest free 4-month payment plan for all self-quarantined musicians that might want to purchase The Butthole Burner. Also, anyone that purchased the original Melter or last year’s Poontang Boomerang delay pedal will receive 10% off their purchase. Fans must be logged in to their Panther store account and use the code “Melter10” to receive the discount. Anyone who orders The Butthole Burner will be entered for a chance to win a limited number of “Golden Tickets” that comes with Penis Chili Pepper seeds (so purchasers can grow their own butthole burner peppers at home) and a $50 gift certificate to the band’s merch store. Pre-orders for The Butthole Burner are now available here: https://bit.ly/buttholeburner.

The official description of The Butthole Burner from Steel Panther is below:

“It’s Hot! It’s Spicy! It’s sexy and feisty!!! Ladies and gentlemen, Steel Panther presents The Butthole Burner. It’s a new version of the perfect distortion pedal. Built with the EXACT SAME circuit as the legendary Pussy Melter, The Butthole Burner is about to scorch eardrums across the world. If you couldn’t get in the front door last time, now it’s time to hit the backdoor!”

Steel Panther are currently sitting home practicing social distancing and self-gratification thanks to the Coronavirus. The band is planning to return to the road during some month that will kick off in some city with some other bands once the world returns to normal. In the meantime, they are working on ideas for all sorts of new things to better the lives of everyone affected by the pandemic. They recently launched an initiative to help out-of-work strippers affected by the global pandemic by posting about their performances on their socials with links for people to virtually “make it rain” from the comforts of their couches. They are also working on a 24-hour digital stream of adoptable pets as part of their Gods Of Pussy Animal Rescue Activation. More information for all things Steel Panther can be found at www.steelpantherrocks.com.

ABOUT STEEL PANTHER:
For the uninitiated, Steel Panther was formed in 2000 and is comprised of Michael Starr (lead singer), Satchel (guitarist), Lexxi Foxx (bass) and Stix Zadinia (drums). Hailing from Los Angeles, the epicenter for rock n’ roll in all its debauchery and glamour, Steel Panther has established themselves as the world’s premier party band, melding hard rock virtuosity with parody and criminally good looks. Steel Panther is a global phenomenon with four full-length albums, touring across the world, platinum-level You Tube status and high-profile television appearances such as Jimmy Kimmel Live, Larry King Now, and FOX NFL Sunday.

Followers of our adventures might recall this fun clip that was captured at the 2nd Annual “Fear The Riff” Guitar Expo. It shows a neighborhood guitarist jamming out on the “Pussy Melter”. Be sure to enjoy the clip and “Like” our page so you can see more things like this regularly.

PiercingMetal Thoughts: By now I am sure that all of the bands fans who sling that axe already have worn out both the “Pussy Melter” and the “Poontang Boomerang” effects pedals, so its the perfect time to order this new one. Of course, if you are just a collector of things related to the band and are stockpiling for later eBay selling you best act fast. With the Coronavirus Pandemic still in its alarming spread, there is no better time than now to pull out some tabs and practice. Why not use such a pedal to make you feel like you are standing on the big stage while throngs of the faithful toss their undergarments at you. I’m a drummer so this only applies to me in the collecting sense but sadly I missed out on the first pedal and the second. Maybe I will get this one or maybe I will just listen to the albums linked below for purchase and hammer away on the practice pad. That’s all I have to say about this one and I wonder what you think about it. Will you be ordering yourself the “Butthole Burner”? Chime in down below with your own thoughts and remember to stay healthy, keep socially distant and wash your hands. Since we are discussing Steel Panther here, you might want to wash them a couple of times. See you next time.

It’s name was “The Pussy Melter” and if you want to recap that story please just click HERE to see what it was all about. The Press Release:
California rock legends Steel Panther continue their fight for freedom of speech and their work to create a safe space for all creative expression in the music instrument world with the release of their second guitar pedal – a digital delay called the Poontang Boomerang. The pedal, which takes its name from a song on the band’s latest release Lower The Bar, is a digital delay pedal developed by Satchel in conjunction with the team who built the critically acclaimed Pussy Melter. It is made in the USA, has a toggle switch (G Day and Crikey), and 4 knobs so guitarists of all genders can customize the “Distance,” “Feedback,” “Dry” and “Wet” parameters of the tone to their individual liking. The Poontang Boomerang will retail for $199.99 and is now available for pre-order HERE

It has been brought to the band’s attention that the popular musical instrument/gear resale site has banned a musician from selling his purchased Pussy Melter on the website. The seller received an email from the Reverb Listings Standard Crew saying: “We understand what this pedal does. In this case, the imagery and the pedal itself is what we do not allow on our site.” A video discussing the whole situation can be watched below:

PiercingMetal Thoughts: Having seen Steel Panther for many years at this point I can honestly say that I still enjoy myself at their shows, even if some of the jokes are the same locker room ones that have been recycled and morphed ever so slightly depending on the situation the band finds themselves in. Yet with that being said the band is clearly NOT for everyone. Today, our world finds itself offended at everything and the slightest affront forces changes upon the masses. No one seems to know how to take a joke anymore and everything, absolutely everything must be totally politically correct. If you are one of those masses who is startled at the slightest cuss word I encourage you to go to a Steel Panther gig and get your comeuppance. If the idea of an over-sexualized stage presentation makes you head to the confessional, then I also encourage you to go to a Steel Panther show for a swat on the keister that you will not soon forget. I’m joking of course and not about the treatment, and instead more about your type hitting one of these rip-roaringly fun shows. If you can’t take a joke, stay at home and yell at people on Facebook. Find your inner Keyboard Warrior, it’s all the rage today. What do the rest of you think about this round of tour dates? Are we partying or what? Chime in down below.
