It’s a pretty cold Tuesday out there in the East Coast territories which makes it almost perfect that a brand new tour by those Swedish masters of musical mayhem in Meshuggah would announce a headlining tour.

Swedish extreme tech-metal pioneers MESHUGGAH have announced they will perform a handful of special U.S. headlining dates this Spring to add to the four U.S. festivals previously announced. Leading up to the trek, the band will make appearances in South America & Mexico before kicking off their U.S. dates on May 5th in Jacksonville, Florida. The tour, presented by The Noise, will also bring THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER as special guests for the headlining shows!

Chicago Open Air Presents Massive Stadium Show For 2019

This spring brings another must-see event from premier independent U.S. music festival producer Danny Wimmer Presents. On Saturday, May 18 and Sunday, May 19, Chicago Open Air Presents a massive stadium show with headlining sets from chart-topping acts including System Of A Down, Tool, The Prodigy and Ghost, plus more appearances from today’s biggest hard rock and metal artists. The event is co-produced by Live Nation and will take place at SeatGeek Stadium (formerly Toyota Park) in Bridgeview, IL, just outside Chicago. Tickets for Chicago Open Air Presents go on sale Friday, December 14 at Noon CT at the link at the close of this announcement.

Maria Brink, frontwoman of In This Moment, says, “I can’t even begin to express how excited we are to be playing Chicago Open Air Presents. We had such a blast last time! Tool, The Prodigy and System Of A Down, that’s insane and such a powerful lineup. We feel blessed to be a part of it all. Meshuggah Announce 2018 North American Tour

There’s nothing quite like a little bit of news from our friends over at Nuclear Blast Records to make a Fall day feel all the more refreshing. Sure that’s corney but the coffee has hit me with a great bit of energy today so there you go. Check out this brief about Sweden’s mighty Meshuggah.

Swedish extreme tech-metal pioneers MESHUGGAH have announced their 2018 North American tour with special guests CODE ORANGE and TOOTHGRINDER. The tour will kick off at the Commodore Ballroom in Vancouver, BC on January 23rd and make stops in Seattle, Portland, and San Francisco before concluding at The Wiltern in Los Angeles on January 29th! Following the 6 show trek, MESHUGGAH will perform at the 70,000 Tons Of Metal Cruise.

MESHUGGAH is touring in support of their highly acclaimed eighth studio album, The Violent Sleep of Reason which secured the band their first GRAMMY nomination for “Best Metal Performance.” The album also debuted at #17 on the U.S. Billboard Top 200 chart as well as landed at #9 on the Canadian Top Current Albums chart.
