Arch Enemy and Trivium Announce Co-Headlining North American Fall Tour

Wow, talk about a team-up of epic Metal proportions. This is surely some exciting news as Arch Enemy and Trivium will share the stages of North America this fall and decimate for sure. The full press release, poster and dates are below but don’t worry I will return with some closing editorial notes. That’s how we roll over here after all.

The Press Release:
ARCH ENEMY and TRIVIUM are excited to announce plans for a co-headlining tour across North America later this Fall. Featuring support from English metalcore outfit While She Sleeps and New Jersey deathcore act Fit For An Autopsy, the tour will kick off on October 27 in Orlando, FL and make its way across the U.S. and Canada before finishing on December 6 in Houston, TX.

Founding ARCH ENEMY guitarist Michael Amott exclaimed, “Very much looking forward to returning to North America with this tour! We are aware that it has been long overdue and we appreciate everyone’s patience while we’ve been creating our new “Will To Power” album. This run will be like a family reunion with our old friends in Trivium; together we’ll be crushing city after city with the power of Heavy Metal! Good times ahead, don’t miss the fun!”

TRIVIUM further stated, “We’ve been joining forces with Arch Enemy for over a decade now. From Ozzfest 2005, through arenas across the U.K., Europe, and Australia on The Black Crusade. This next chapter is going to be one for the ages: Trivium, Arch Enemy, While She Sleeps, and Fit for an Autopsy!! DO NOT MISS THIS!!”

Now this was a cool bit of news to find out about even though I am a tad late in getting to the table about it. It seems as thought Trivium will be performing a special gig for members of their fan club “Trivium World” at the now famous Saint Vitus Bar in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. Check out the awesome poster graphic for it.

This is a nice sidestep for the NYC fans while they are rocking the nations masses as a part of the Hard Drive Live Tour with Tremonti. This particular special appearance will come the day after the band assaults the aural senses of the Starland Ballroom. So let’s not waste any additional unnecessary time, just click on THIS LINK to blast over to the Official Trivium Site so you can see what needs to be done to win a ticket for the exclusive show. Bear in mind this fan club is like most others nowadays and requires a yearly membership stipend. Hopefully some of you can get into the show and take some great pictures. I’m not going to be able to make it and think that Trivium is one of the most solid live bands on the circuit these days. Oh yeah and since this show is a bar, you MUST be 21+ to enter the premises and there are no exceptions to that. Artist: Trivium
Venue: Best Buy Theater (New York, NY)
Opener: Devildriver & After The Burial
Date: 9/27/2013
Label: Roadrunner Records

I was happy to hear that Trivium would be doing a co-headlining tour with Devildriver because those two bands have always seemed to be “the right choice” for such an entertainment prospect on the same stage in my humble opinion. Let’s add to this the quality Metal that comes from the still growing in popularity bands like Sylosis and After The Burial who would be getting everyone geared up with their lead off sets. When you put all of this into one place it’s clear that the fans are getting the maximum value for their entertainment dollar and that from beginning to end you have a “no filler” sort of night. I say it like this because there have been far too many shows that left me scratching my head based on a particular “X” or “Y” band being on the roster. Not here folks, this was a leave your valuables with a friend because you were heading into the mosh pit sort of night. Sadly the four band bill was not to happen as only a couple of days before the gig got to the Big Apple, the RV that was taking Sylosis around was involved in an accident that left the guys pretty banged up. They would drop off the tour and that sucked because now money was being lost and no band needs that to happen. After The Burial would now start things up and I was unsure whether or not the two headliners would take longer sets based on the slot left open by Sylosis; I would not get myself inside the Best Buy Theater in time to properly enjoy ATB but I am sure that they will be back again based on their continually getting on solid tours. My night would effectively begin with Devildriver who I had seen a number of times over the years.
