A short time ago, Hulu revealed the announcements from their 2019 Upfront Event. Among the reveals were some new Marvel Television shows and with that being a major talking point for our Pop Culture focuses, I’ve culled that section for your perusal down below.
The Press Release:
Today, during the Hulu ‘19 Presentation at The Hulu Theater at Madison Square Garden, executives took the stage to reveal the company’s continued rapid growth, announce original programming and exclusive talent deals that expand Hulu’s content offering, and unveil new brand initiatives, advertising products and user experience enhancements that bolster its goal of becoming the #1 choice for TV, in and out of the home.
The company announced today that it has increased its total customer base to more than 28 million — 26.8 million monthly paid subscribers, and 1.3 million promotional accounts.
“In today’s direct-to-consumer world, viewers are demanding better when it comes to TV — from the user experience to their content choices to the advertising,” said Hulu CEO Randy Freer. “Hulu’s continued growth, as well as the shows and initiatives announced today, reflect our deep investment in product, programming, brand, customer experience and business strategy to ensure that with Hulu, consumers can connect with the stories they love, at the right time and price, on any device.” Continue reading Hulu 2019 Upfront Reveals Two New Live-Action Marvel Television Series→
It’s been a little bit of time since the fifth season of Marvel’s “Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.” ended but I am glad to have a sneak peek look into what is to come for the fans and of course myself. I’ve been watching the show since it first began and as I’ve said a few times it was not an easy go at first. When it got good it was really good and just what fans of the bigger screen universe needed. The series will return in May which is after both “Captain Marvel” and “Avengers: Endgame” have been released so I wonder if we shall get any inferences about those films. Let’s watch the clip.
Greetings Fiends, how the heck are you this fine early morning? I’m here to remind you all that as of a short while ago, Marvel’s “The Punisher” is available to stream its second season in full. As I only recently posted the first Official Trailer (seen HERE), I am thinking that the series is still pretty fresh in your mind.
Premise: In the first season, Frank Castle, known throughout New York City as “the Punisher” after exacting revenge on those responsible for the death of his family, uncovers a larger conspiracy beyond what was done to him and his family. The second season sees Castle, who has been living a quiet life on the road, drawn into the mystery surrounding the attempted murder of Amy Bendix, forcing him to decide if he should embrace his life as the Punisher.
