PiercingMetal Thoughts: While I realize that this final installment in “The Skywalker Saga” left a lot of fans for want, I have to admit that I really enjoyed it. I felt it was a proper closing to a group of characters that were as much as part of my childood as my adulthood and kept my geek interests fed properly. Now as far as the comic book adaptations of these films, I’ve not purchased any of these for myself since “Star Wars: Return Of The Jedi” and nowadays I will just grab a collected edition of the mini-series since that is where I am on them. Maybe I will snag this one just the same but June is a bit of a ways away and there is no sense in deciding right now. I’ve got a lot of Toy Fair items to finish up so will end this particular announcement with the question of “what do you think about this news?” Are you planning on purchasing and for that matter, did you enjoy the film? Chime in down below and I will see you next time.

Marvel Announces “Silk” Series For July

Though I am still very new to the character of Silk, I like what I have read so far that included her and think she will make a fine addition to the Marvel Comics Universe of titles. Let’s check out the announcement about her brand-new series that will come out this July. Images and copy come from the House Of Ideas themselves.

Back in 2014, the world learned that Peter Parker wasn’t the only one who was bitten by the radioactive spider in Amazing Fantasy #15. Equipped with spider powers of her own, Cindy Moon took the Marvel Universe by storm as the beloved super hero Silk! Just announced at C2E2, Silk will weave a new web this July, filled with ruthless new villains including the cat demon Kasha as Cindy takes on a new investigative reporter gig under the one and only J. Jonah Jameson.

The folks at Marvel Comics will be introducing a brand-new super-team based in the United Kingdom called “The Union” and here is our first glimpse of them as a unit thanks to the folks in Marvel publicity.

PiercingMetal Thoughts: I’ll be keeping the readership in the aware on the new team since they look so dynamic. I don’t know who the roster is at the moment outside of Union Jack who I was always a fan of when reading about him in “The Invaders” and “Captain America” back in the day. Stay tuned for more and as we close up this little bit of news to get you excited for what’s to come, I wonder what you think about the reveal and what your hopes are for the team.
