Opening: “American Satan” in Select Theaters (10/13/2017)

We’ve shared some of the trailers for the film “American Satan” which stars Andy Biersack from the Black Veil Brides and comes care of Sumerian Records. This film opens today in select theaters and you can see the Official Theatrical Poster along with the casting and premise down below. I’ll toss in some editorial thoughts to close it up.

The Plot: A young rock band, half from England and half from the United States, drop out of college and move to the Sunset Strip to chase their dreams. Living in a van, their passion and talent exceed their means to survive. An enigmatic stranger sees their true potential and emotionally manipulates them during a time of weakness. Caught in the middle of a Faustian deal, their music and controversial altercations end up influencing society beyond anything this century has seen, but can they take back control of their destiny before it’s too late? Sumerian Records Presents: “American Satan” Summer Trailer

Back in April, I posted the teaser trailer for an upcoming Horror film called “American Satan” which stars members of the Black Veil Brides and Asking Alexandria. I didn’t speak much on it since teasers are often too short for me to form a proper opinion but now we have the full on trailer which you can examine below. Dig in to the “Summer Trailer”.

Sumerian Records Presents: “American Satan” Teaser Trailer

I must admit that I was a little behind in knowing what this actually was and when I first saw the branding of “American Satan” I thought it was some kind of management company or clothing line since I saw it connected to some musical events. Turns out that this is actually a movie and one that was done by Ash Avildsen and Matty Beckerman. Two of its featured stars are Andy Biersack, who’s also known as Andy Black and is the lead singer of the Black Veil Brides, and Ben Bruce of Asking Alexandria. This is a Horror/Supernatural film meets Rock show and deals with Illuminati and Satanism. Sounds interesting enough so here is the teaser trailer from the film.

Opening: Rob Zombie’s “31” (9/16/2016)

I don’t generally announce the opening of a new Horror film but this one comes care of the maniacal imagination of Heavy Metal’s own Rob Zombie so its a little different for me. I also recently hosted a contest to see an advance screening of the film thanks to Fathom Events and with all of that put together figured why not. The new film by Rob Zombie is called “31” and it opens today for a limited time. Check it out below.

Poster - Rob Zombie 31 - 2016

About The Film: 31 is a 2016 American independent horror film written and directed by Rob Zombie, and starring Sheri Moon Zombie. The film was crowdfunded online twice at fanbacked.com. The film revolves around five carnival workers’ survival playing a game called “31” while evading murderers known as “The Heads” dressed as clowns that have names that define their unique personalities. At a test screening Zombie compared 31 to his 2005 film The Devil’s Rejects. (thanks Wiki)

The Plot: During Halloween 1976 a group of carnival workers are traveling through the country in an RV, on their way to their next venue. Along the way they’re stopped and attacked, with only a handful of them left alive – Charly (Sheri Moon Zombie), Venus (Meg Foster), Panda (Lawrence Hilton-Jacobs), Levon (Kevin Jackson), and Roscoe (Jeff Daniel Phillips). They’re taken to a strange, large building, where three strange people wearing aristocratic wigs and powder force them to play “31”. For the next 12 hours they must wander through a maze-like set of rooms where they must survive attempts by several people intent on torturing and murdering them. If they survive the full 12 hours they will be set free, although their captors freely express their disbelief that the captives will survive that long. (thanks Wiki)
