Hey there my fiends, we are BACK for the ATTACK with the rest of our findings from the 2017 Toy Fair Press Preview that was held at the Mezco Toyz HQ yesterday morning. I hope you have made it out of the snowstorm with no difficulty if you are in our neck of the woods. Its now mostly ice since its cold so be careful out there. Now its onto the rest and I’ll begin where I left off which was with this horrifying Annabelle doll from the movie “The Conjuring”. Creepy stuff right? A few friends have already told me that they were having nightmares from my first photo of it so here is another to keep you suitably creeped out 🙂
Of the InToy Fair 2015 was around the corner and once again PiercingMetal.com was one of the small group of press outlets invited to the inner sanctum of the Mezco Toyz company in order to get an advance look at their latest offerings. I would be joined by my stalwart colleague in arms, Skeleton Pete Parrella and present you with my findings in this post. Take a deep breath, map out how you might want to use that surplus cash going forward in this new year and continue on deep into this narrative. Licensed properties from “Breaking Bad”, “Sons Of Anarchy”, “Mortal Kombat” and “Batman” will join up with their long standing “Living Dead Dolls” and “Mezitz”. Here we go….
The members of the Press were greeted by the company mascot Gomez. Don’t worry folks, he doesn’t bite 🙂
We were all escorted over to the conference room which had been setup to showcase all of the new offerings and in the center of the room were some banners. One banner featured the “Mortal Kombat X” license so we shall begin with those images.
I was out and about with Skeleton Pete after seeing a film in the city and as is our usual practice, we headed right into Forbidden Planet afterwards. I love this place and all its wonderful offerings and when I saw that the new set of Mezco Toyz “Living Dead Dolls” were on the shelves I snapped photos with my mobile device and am sharing them with you below.
This series is the 28th and known as the “Sweet 16 Party” because the company is 16 years old at the time of this writing. Sorry that they were in packages but I think these images will do the trick for those fans who get all in a frenzy when they are made available. They are creeptastic for sure.
I’ve been open about how much we enjoy the offerings of the Mezco Toyz company here at the PiercingMetal Command HQ and over the past year we’ve covered both their BATMAN ’66 Mezitz Launch Event and gave readers an inside look into their TOY FAIR 2014 Offerings. That being said, it was great to learn about this super cool event regarding the super hot Living Dead Dolls. Check out the poster since it speaks volumes.
Last year PiercingMetal.com attended two special events held by the fine folks at Mezco Toyz with the first being their “Classic 1966 Batman” reveal and the second a “1st Ever Public Warehouse Sale”. These were great events and when the invitation came to peruse their 2014 Toy Fair offerings before the grand event, it was without hesitation that I headed to Long Island City to bring you all the advance visual scoop.
This Press Conference was originally set for Wednesday of this week but the horrendous weather kept people away and that made me glad to find it rescheduled for Thursday. They said that attendees would have needed a tauntaun to attend and my reply RSVP lined out how the PiercingMetal Imperial Walker was still in the shop at the time. So here we go with our findings. It was without question that Mezco Toyz were very excited about their “Sons Of Anarchy” license and all of the coolness that was going to come out because of it. They even worked out this super cool banner for the company that uses the properties design. Check it out below.
