Greetings my fine-feathered fiends, you are back with us once more I see and this is pleasing to me. For the newbie, let me announce that you are now at my 5th and final chapter from my “Day One” findings at the 2019 New York Comic Con. To make sure you’ve enjoyed this properly, please click HERE to open a new tab with every single post that’s run before this one. I’m still in the Artist Alley for a lot of this chapter and will only be chiming when necessary to do so.
Greetings Geeks!!!! Welcome back to more of the wandering in the aisles of the Resorts World Casino expo floor where the 2019 WinterCon was taking over like gangbusters. I’m continuing from where I left off in Chapter 1 so be sure to visit that installment first in the event you are just joining us. This chapter has a LOT of the cosplayers that we met and I will not be naming all of them since you should know that stuff by now if you are reading this website. I will however begin with some famous names in Japanese Pop Culture with Tsugutoshi Komada and Bin Furuya. Komada played Jet Jaguar in the “Godzilla Vs. Megalon” film and my hope is that this character somehow returns in the upcoming “Godzilla: King Of The Monsters” film that opens next summer. Then there is Bin Furuya who portrayed Ultraman. Arigato for the photos gentlemen.
Well hello again my friends and welcome back. We are now at the point in my exploration of the 2018 New York Comic Con that is the day that is not recommended for the weak or faint in constitution because this is the Saturday Day Three part and probably the busiest of all the four days. The overall glut of costumed humanity is difficult to describe but I will try and share some visuals from the madness as I explore the aisles. If you are just joining the presentations on the website, you’re going to want to click HERE first so you are up to speed. With this first installment of the day, I will be wandering around the Artist Alley a bit and seeing some of the wonderful cosplayers. There isn’t going to be much chatter from me since I’d like to test your knowledge on many of the characters. Here we go with the first cosplayer of the day. A gent dressed like Stephen King from “Creepshow”. You see the Number “7” train was not running this weekend which necessitated a long walk to the Javits.
Now that both the annual NY Comic Con and brand new Anime NYC conventions have come and gone, you’re probably thinking that you are done with this kind of event for year but you would be wrong. Yes my friends, WinterCon was here and once again being held at the spacious Resorts World Casinos in Queens. I enjoyed myself last year at the event which I documented HERE for those interested and was happy to be returning to see what this year had in store for me. As I walked over the casino floor to the main event upstairs, I met a mixed bag of creative Cosplay with some DC Villains, a Doctor and some of the X-Men. Who says we all can’t get along. Let’s go.
Hey there, hi there, ho there! I am back with the second chapter of my explorations of the Big Apple Comic Con for 2016 which tool place on Saturday over at the Penn Plaza Pavilion. Hopefully you’ve already examined the first chapter and if not just click HERE to see it and I’ll wait for you to return. Okay so welcome back and to the beginning of the second and final chapter from this Con. I’ll let the visuals do most of the talking so enjoy.
