As I’ve shared some clips and visuals from the Lionsgate Pictures “John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum” film already, I’ll just ask you to click that highlighted text to see anything that’s come before this alert. Today I’m here to share that the film is opening up today in theaters everywhere.
Though I am one of those who are very late to the game, the film franchise for John Wick has a third installment with “John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum” and I originally shared the FIRST TRAILER on PiercingKen.com and the FINAL TRAILER right here on PiercingMetal. To see either of those just click the highlighted text. Now I’ve returned to this particular topic to share a bunch of the promotional posters that have been released. I’ll start with the first teaser and then the main theatrical one before continuing along with the ones that feature the vast characters in the film. Enjoy.
As you know full well if you are a longer tenured reader of the PiercingMetal website, we just love the movies and have greatly expanded our Pop Culture focus over the last few years. Hey, the release of over a dozen superhero films will tend to make that happen when all is said and done ;p – Initially, I shared the first trailer for “John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum” over on “The Chronicles Of Piercing Ken” and you can click HERE to see that one and lend our other website a little traffic love. Today I’m here to focus on the same film which has just revealed its final trailer. Let’s take a look and hold onto your hats since this looks exciting.
In keeping with the broadcasting of the Super-hero, Science Fiction, Action and Animated features that we know our readership will take to I’m announcing this Christmas Day film opening “47 Ronin”. I’ll admit I was unclear on what it was but the commercial sure looked fun so here we are.
Copying directly from the film’s Wiki entry it appears that “47 Ronin is a 2013 American fantasy action film depicting a fictional account of the forty-seven Ronin, a real-life group of samurai in 18th-century Japan who avenge the murder of their master (stories, plays and other dramatic performances of the 47 Ronin story are commonly referred to as Chushingura in Japan). Being produced by Universal Studios, the film is directed by Carl Erik Rinsch. The main cast (listed below) will be joined by an ensemble of other Japanese actors. The outcast Kai joins a group of ronin, led by Kuranosuke Oishi, who seeks vengeance on Lord Kira for killing their master and banishing the group. The Ronin embark on a journey with challenges that would defeat most warriors.”
Keanu Reeves as Kai. (the character was created for the film)
Tadanobu Asano as Lord Kira, the Shogun’s master of ceremonies
Rinko Kikuchi as Mizuki, a lady who serves Lord Kira
Hiroyuki Sanada as Kuranosuke Oishi, the leader of the Ronin
Kou Shibasaki as Mika, the slain master’s daughter and Kai’s love interest
Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa as the Shogun
Jin Akanishi as Chikara Oishi, Kuranosuke’s son
Rick Genest as Savage
