Tonight: “Pennyworth” Season 2 Premiere on Epix (12/13/2020)

It was just about a month ago when we shared the Second Season Official Trailer for the Epix Original series “Pennyworth”. It was a pretty exciting clip so if you missed it just click HERE to be up to speed. The show begins its weekly airing on that premium cable network today so let’s review the show poster, premise and casting before my editorial closing thoughts.

The Premise: Pennyworth explores the early life of the titular Wayne family butler, Alfred Pennyworth, a former British SAS soldier who is forming his own security company in an alternate London which combines aspects of London in the 1950s and 1960s with invented events and practices (for example, televised public executions). Alfred becomes a target of the Raven Society, a group conspiring to take over the British government, and begins working against them alongside American agents of the No Name League, Thomas Wayne and Martha Kane, the future parents of Bruce Wayne/Batman.

Warner Brothers Television Presents: “Pennyworth” Season 2 Official Trailer

Fans of Bruce Wayne’s butler Alfred Pennyworth will be excited that the Epix Original Series “Pennyworth” has been granted a second season. The show takes place before he becomes the gentlemen’s gentlemen to the Dark Knight and is a spy-intrigue thriller sort of thing. The second season trailer was just released and I’ve embedded it for your perusal along with some premise and casting that were sourced from provided publicity. Take a look.

This Warner Brothers Television series brings us back in time to learn the beginnings of the famous butler Alfred Pennyworth. Warner Brothers Television Presents: “Pennyworth” Official Trailer

It wasn’t too long ago that the final episode of the Batman pre-history series ended after several thrilling seasons and while initially I was slightly against it, when it all came to the dramatic ending I rather liked it. Now let’s get talking about “Pennyworth” which goes further back in time and is revealing the ancient history of Bruce Wayne’s faithful manservant, Alfred Pennyworth. The trailer for the show just dropped so take a look down below and then review some premise and main casting. I will come back at the close for good measure.
