The fine folks at Disney held their Investors Call and during this happening, we found the Marvel Studios powers that be announcing what amounts to be an incredible slate. I was following along as best as possible with the social networking posts and have shared their images and copy for your consumption.
Captain Marvel 2: Brie Larson returns as Carol Danvers in Marvel Studios’ Captain Marvel 2, directed by Nia DaCosta. Joining the cast are recently announced Ms. Marvel, Iman Vellani, and Monica Rambeau played by WandaVision’s Teyonah Parris. Captain Marvel 2 flies into theaters Nov. 11, 2022
Hawkeye: Original Avenger Jeremy Renner returns to star as Hawkeye, teaming up with well-known archer from Marvel comics, Kate Bishop played by the amazing Hailee Steinfeld. The reveals from this years Comic Con International: San Diego have been bountiful as you can see by clicking HERE but there was nothing that I was interested more in the revelations and announcements from the Marvel Studios panel at the hallowed “Hall H”. What I’ve done was taken the tweets as they went live on their Official Account and added them here so this post is a bit “live” for the duration. As everything is happening too fast to mull upon the ideas and announcements, I will be adding additional editorial in post. Let’s go and be aware that this postwill feature some spoilers to the outcome of “Avengers: Endgame” since that film came out back in April and if you are someone who’s waited this long it probably doesn’t matter to you anyway.
First of the announcements comes the news about the “Eternals” film with the cast being cited as well. I should stress that I was not watching the Hall H panel as I had hoped to be since I don’t think it was streaming anywhere and was just keeping pace alongside the assorted feeds I was following.
Just announced in Hall H at #SDCC, Marvel Studios’ THE ETERNALS with Angelina Jolie, Richard Madden, Kumail Nanjiani, Lauren Ridloff, Brian Tyree Henry, Salma Hayek, Lia McHugh and Don Lee. Directed by Chloé Zhao. In theaters November 6, 2020. pic.twitter.com/k6ZgfX38VW
Eternals: In my vast collection of individual comic book issues, I do admit to owning at least a dozen issues that feature “The Eternals”. However, that being said, I was never much the fan of the Kirby creations and wonder how a movie about them can be made to work. Sure, Marvel Studios made “Guardians Of The Galaxy” work out to excellence with a cast of characters that were not the traditional GOTG to many of us so I have some faith. While skeptical, I am willing to let Marvel Studios work their magic.
Just announced in Hall H at #SDCC, Marvel Studios’ THE FALCON AND THE WINTER SOLDIER, an original series with Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan and Daniel Brühl. Streaming exclusively on Disney+, Fall 2020. pic.twitter.com/FmFMKWUrhO
The Falcon and The Winter Soldier: This is the first series announced the for Disney+ service which I will be subscribing to without hesitation. This one picks up post “Avengers: Endgame” and will likely follow Falcon as Falcon Cap since he has the shield now after the outcome of that last film. I’m very excited about the return of Zemo and knowing that he will be sporting the famous red hood that he is known for in the comics. Yesterday I had popped into my local comic book shop to see what was on the racks and needed to be a part of my collection when I noticed that the latest group of Hasbro’s “Marvel Legends” series of action figures had arrived. This amounts to their second wave of vintage characters in retro packaging and I quickly snapped some images from them so I could share with those of you who collect and might not be aware of them yet. Take a look.
Here’s another interesting crop of variant covers from The House Of Ideas. This time around its focused on the “Marvel Vs. Capcom: Infinite” game and all its colorful characters. Let’s take a look at the press release and the images that were provided. I’ll close out with some editorial as well.
The Press Release:

I’m starting off the month in the usual fashion with our comic book first issue narratives and am going to do the Marvel Comics stuff first this time because there are more new titles launching this month and I want you to have a jump on them for your weekly pull list. As always there are numerous different variant covers available for these titles but some you might have to special request from your shop since I know many don’t stock them all. Other titles are currently running but we are only showcasing the first issues with help from the Marvel Entertainment publicity team. Here we go.
