Now that the holiday weekend is past us, its time to get small again and I mean down to Ant-Man size as the sequel to his film opens today with “Ant-Man and The Wasp”. As you might already know, he was not a part of the recent “Avengers: Infinity War” which means that film took place AFTER the events that we shall be enjoying in this feature. Let’s get a look at the theatrical release poster, premise and casting to gear you up and in case you missed them on the racks, its still probably possible to get your hands on the issues of the “Ant-Man and The Wasp” themed True Believers comics from Marvel. Just ask your local retailer about them and use THIS POST as a guideline.
I’ve been on a bit of a social media and Internet silence since the opening of “Avengers: Infinity War” because I didn’t want any of the film spoiled on me but as you are reading this, I am just now home from seeing it and all I can say is “HOLY WOWZAWOW”. It was awesome, but its rather long. You must go to see it ASAP because so many people are talking about it and I don’t want anyone to miss key points. This film has already made over $725 million dollars and it only opened last Friday. As I returned to my home I was overjoyed to learn that the latest trailer for the upcoming “Ant Man and The Wasp” film was available to share with you so here we go.
We’ve talked about the “Ready Player One” film by Steven Spielberg that is based on a novel by Ernest Kline and today my friends, this film is being released in theaters everywhere. They’ve shared some cool posters and trailers over the last few months and we’ve been happy to post about them to keep you in the know. Let’s take a look at the theatrical poster, premise and casting once more as you map out when you will be seeing this film.
The Premise: In the year 2045, much of Earth’s population centers have become slum-like cities due to overpopulation, pollution, corruption, and climate change. To escape their desolation, people engage in the virtual reality world of the OASIS (Ontologically Anthropocentric Sensory Immersive Simulation), where they can engage in numerous activities for work, education, and entertainment.
Wade Watts is a teenager from Columbus, Ohio who frequents the OASIS and attempts to win “Anorak’s Quest”, a game created by the recently-deceased creator of the OASIS, James Halliday, in search of its Easter Egg. The winner is to be granted full ownership of the OASIS and Halliday’s $500 billion fortune. While Wade works with several friends from the OASIS to discover Anorak’s treasure, Innovative Online Industries (IOI), an evil corporation lead by CEO Nolan Sorrento, employs a number of Sixers to try to discover the treasure first and seize control of OASIS for themselves. In keeping with the announcements about the big screen debuts of comic and adventure films that are coming at us, here is the one saying that “Tomb Raider” is opening today in theaters across the country. PiercingMetal Thoughts: As I’ve noted in the second trailer post, I just have too many things going on right now to see this film early in its theatrical run so I might need to take a pass on it. I’d like to see it but cannot promise when so its very unlikely a movie review will be loaded onto the website. What about you though? Are you checking this one out? Let me know down in the comments below but don’t leave any spoiler stuff since that is no bueno.
As you readers are fully aware by now, we just love sharing the exciting trailers for all of the superhero films that keep on being released as this stuff works very well with our regular comic book posts. We’re also tremendous fans and especially of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. With that said please check out the Teaser Trailer for the upcoming “Ant-Man and The Wasp” film which was unveiled only a short time ago. I’ve followed the clip with premise and casting and will chime in briefly at the close.
