Hammerfall will bring their brand of Power Metal to life in NYC with support from Flotsam and Jetsam.
Hammerfall and Delain are in NYC for their Co-Headlining tour and you don’t want to miss out on the fun even though its happening on a Monday night. Let’s rock it together like it was a Friday okay.
The Details: It’s been a bit of a time since the mighty Hammerfall has toured around these parts so finding them returning to the USA and with a NYC show on the books is pretty damned awesome. They’re joined on this run by Delain from the Netherlands who a lot of people are going crazy for and since we’ve seen both bands a few times over the years it’s safe to say that this will be a Metal treat that leaves lasting memories. The NYC show will be at Stage 48 and thanks to the powers that be on the promoter side, some lucky PiercingMetal fans will be getting to see the show for free. Read on below on how to participate in this latest contest.
When and Where: Monday, April 24th @ Stage 48 (608 West 48th Street, NYC)
To Participate: This is a co-headlining run for all intents and purposes and since I usually ask for three things about the main act and your interest in them I am going to ask that you do exactly the same for me with this one. However, there is a trick to this one. If you are a fan that that is most interested in Hammerfall then your three solid entries should be focused on Hammerfall. If you are most interested in Delain then the three entries should be about them. Now for the trick….I’d also like you to add a fourth entry about the other band. Make sense? It should. Now please review some guidelines that help with the competition.

There is nothing I like more than a great concert touring package and let’s face it, while there are a lot of awesome headlining runs happening, there aren’t always a lot of support bands that make sense at the end of the day. That’s not the case with this announcement from earlier today that presents us with the pairing of the mighty Hammerfall and Dutch sensations Delain. Check out the poster, press release and the dates and then I’ll return with some added thoughts.

Title: “Hammer High” (Single)
Label: Napalm Record
Release Date: 9/23/2016
Genre: Power Metal
The second single from Hammerfall’s upcoming album “Built To Last” comes care of the song “Hammer High” which I can say is quite the sing-along anthem sort of number that fans have come to love from a band like this. I’ve been a fan of Hammerfall for over a decade now (not as long as some others of course but still) and my main issue is how the tune starts off exactly like Nightwish’s cover of the Gary Moore classic “Over The Hills and Far Away”. I mean its beat for beat on the drums and I had to wonder if their own drummer was thinking of the tune when he put his mind to the skins for this one. That critique out of the way the song is in its defense on the catchy side. Cans and company have made sure to offer up a song that should get all of the audience at the shows with fists raised into the air singing along with them.
