[MESSAGE FROM THE CLERGY] We wish to inform you all work and no play makes Papa…
PiercingMetal Thoughts: I love these clips and to summarize and analyze what we saw here, it seems like the Cardinal is taxing the last good nerve of Papa Nihil. Could a change in the ranks be far from happening? All we can do is wait with anticipation on the next chapter and see what will come to pass. Redro is “order” spelled backwards, so could a reverse of the snap set things right once more in the world of Ghost. Oh, my bad that’s a different franchise entirely but I think you get my meaning. Only time will tell. The Flock is waiting….
Any now for something completely different… I wish to inform you about some doings among The Flock….
Just the other day my good friend Steve posted a clip on his Facebook timeline which read “My daughter Samantha arranged and conducted “Life Eternal” by Ghost with her Wallenpaupack Area HS Chamber Choir. While there were many amazing performances at last night’s WAHS Chorus concert, this was my favorite. I’m so proud”. Having known the Dad for something like 25 years and sharing a number of Heavy Metal concert memories with him, I just had to share this with the readership. Please enjoy this take on the song from the bands “Prequelle” album.
It was only a couple of months ago when I shared the news about Ghost’s “Ultimate Tour Named Death” in an announcement you can peruse HERE. Now on this all too typical Tuesday, the clergy has informed their ardent flock and followers in the media about additional dates on the run. Check it out down below.
The Press Release:
Seven new dates for the “Ultimate Tour Named Death,” Ghost’s six-week North American headline arena tour are announced, adding shows in Edmonton, Toledo, Moline, Youngstown, Huntington, Hamilton, and Ottawa. A series of ticket pre-sales begins today at 12 NOON local, and the public on-sale starts at 10 AM local this Friday, May 24. Log on to http://ghost-official.com for all pre-sale, VIP packages, and ticketing details. With Nothing More providing support for the tour and Twin Temple supporting on the 9/28 SLC date, the Frank Productions Concerts-produced Fall dates kick off on September 13 in Bakersfield, CA and run through to October 26 in Glens Falls, NY.
In support of this tour, “Faith,” the third single from Ghost’s GRAMMY-nominated album Prequelle, was the #1 Most Added track last week at Active Rock Radio with 36 adds, and this week, made the highest chart debut, coming in at #32. “Faith” follows Prequelle’s two previous singles, “Rats” and “Dance Macabre,” both of which held the #1 spot on the Active and Mainstream Rock Radio charts for multiple weeks. An eminently tight track with its relentless and melodic guitar solos and dark, torturous lyrics, “Faith” manifests Ghost creative force Tobias Forge’s flair for soaring stadium-size anthems. Music fans in my neck of the woods are going to be looking into relocation before October hits based on this sure to be crushing Festival event. It’s the kind of music festival my friends and I clamor for but instead we get The Governors Ball and Panorama Music Festival. Sigh. Anyway, without further adieu I share with you the announcement about the debut of the Exit 111 Music Festival. Read on down below to the full press release and prepare to be stunned by the lineup.
The Press Release:
EXIT 111 Festival will debut with a heavyweight line-up that celebrates all forms of rock–from hard to classic, alternative to southern–when it debuts October 11-13 at the Great Stage Park in Manchester, TN. The inaugural three-day event hosted by Eddie Trunk will be led by headlining slots from Guns N’ Roses, Def Leppard, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and a mix of platinum-selling artists including Slayer (in the last Tennessee show of their career), ZZ Top, Deftones, Ghost, Megadeth and more than 40 acts (full line-up below). Tickets for EXIT 111 go on sale Thursday, April 25 at 12:00 PM (ET), with additional ticketing info below.
Produced by C3 Presents and AC Entertainment, the massive footprint of the festival site–known to millions as the home of the Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival–will be transformed into a rock and roll playground with the all-star line-up appearing on three stages with 12 hours of music daily, camping and a variety of activities tailored specifically to concert-goers. This marks the first-ever event, beyond Bonnaroo, to utilize the 700-plus acre farm. On site adventures include Paranormal Cirque (an R-rated crazy yet fun fusion between circus, theatre, and cabaret in perfect harmony with the evolution of a show that brings you back to when we dream…and when we had nightmares and fantasies), the first annual EXIT 111 car show, Red Bull motocross demonstrations and a mega sports bar airing full sports coverage throughout the weekend, with more activities announced soon.
