With Toy Fair rapidly approaching and my being involved in setting up all of the necessary appointments to do that convention right, I’m happy to share the recently release “Launch Trailer” for the brand-new remake of the classic “Resident Evil” video game. It’s rather intense so don’t watch alone or in a super dark room if you spook easily. Here we go.
About The Game: Resident Evil 2 is a survival horror game developed and published by Capcom. The game follows rookie police officer Leon S. Kennedy and college student Claire Redfield as they attempt to escape from Raccoon City during a zombie apocalypse. It is a remake of the 1998 game Resident Evil 2. Unlike the original, which uses tank controls and fixed camera angles, the remake features “over-the-shoulder” third-person shooter gameplay similar to Resident Evil 4. (c/o Wiki). In keeping pace with some of the video game trailers that we find being released, here is the recently revealed “movie trailer” for the “Kingdom Hearts III” Fantasy/Adventure game. I hope you enjoy it if you like this stuff and I’ve followed the clip with some background and closing editorial. Take a look.
About The Game: Kingdom Hearts III is an action role-playing game developed and published by Square Enix for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. It is the twelfth installment in the Kingdom Hearts series, a sequel to Kingdom Hearts II, and the final chapter in the Dark Seeker saga. Set after the events of Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance, returning protagonist Sora is joined by Donald Duck, Goofy, King Mickey and Riku in their search for the seven Guardians of Light and the “Key to Return Hearts” as they attempt to thwart the restored Xehanort’s plan to bring about a second Keyblade War. Their journey has them cross paths with characters and visit worlds based on different Disney and Pixar properties. (c/o Wiki)
PiercingMetal Thoughts: As I’ve mentioned on a few posts, I am not as much the gamer as I am the comic book collector and cinephile but with our Pop Culture side growing and growing in terms of conventions and topical coverage, I will always post a trailer clip along with a purchase code to Amazon.com to keep it all in motion. This does look like a fun game if its going to bring all of these great characters together. What do you think about this? Have you played any iteration of the game yet? Do chime in down below in the comments section.
This past weekend I attended the Play NYC gaming convention and while perusing the webs the following day noticed the Official Gameplay Trailer for the soon to be released “Marvel’s Spider-Man” which will be playable on the PS4 gaming console by Playstation. I’m sharing the exciting trailer down below and wow does it look awesome. Check it out.
Nothing like a little gaming news to send you off to the land of nod, unless you are me and keep vampires hours and will not be hitting the bed for another few hours. This is the latest brief on the mobile game “Iron Maiden: Legacy Of The Beast” which has proven to be quite a hit and if you are a fan of this you should read on.
The Press Release:
Mobile games publisher Nodding Frog and heavy metal legends IRON MAIDEN are proud to announce the arrival of a new PvP arena to their ‘Legacy of the Beast’ game – in a global first and representing an unparalleled level of integration in the mobile space, the arena was designed in tandem with Iron Maiden’s actual touring stage set, drawing on fantastical cathedral architecture to create a show stopping environment in-game and on the band’s current 38 date European tour.
Players of the game can also look forward to the introduction of ‘Beast Eddie’, the latest incarnation of the band’s famous mascot and star of their game, alongside many other new characters from the world of Iron Maiden making debut appearances in the game to celebrate their representation in the 2018 set list. Over the coming months fans can expect the arrival of favourites such as Icarus, Two Minutes to Midnight Eddie and Killers Eddie. Clansman Eddie was introduced to the game in the weeks leading up to the tour, prompting wild fan speculation over the track appearing on the setlist!
‘Legacy of the Beast’ continues to push boundaries in the mobile gaming space, reimagining Iron Maiden’s own album art, music, lyrics, and now integrating elements of their live shows with a real- time character campaign that spans the duration of the tour – an unprecedented expansion giving both fans of the band and fantasy RPG gamers a seminal experience on mobile devices.
Llexi Leon, Interactive Creative Director at Phantom Music Management said “Our development team have outdone themselves, producing an incredible representation of Iron Maiden’s latest live show in our Legacy of the Beast mobile game, offering fans old and new another exciting way to engage with the band’s music, theatrics, and their mascot Eddie, long after the encore!”.
Players of the game can look forward to many more significant new features and characters to collect over the coming months, including ‘Gauntlet’, Social Chat and the much anticipated ‘Night City’ game world and cast – inspired by Maiden’s early music catalogue and fledgling East London roots.
Iron Maiden: Legacy of the Beast is a definitive experience in the mobile gaming space – inviting players into an ever-expanding dark fantasy RPG via their smartphones & tablets. The unparalleled integration of Iron Maiden’s creative output has seen the game and its characters featured on the side of Maiden’s own 747, on bottle tops of their 20 million pint selling Trooper beer, on the iconic black t-shirts, shown in cinematic trailers at live shows, in a comic book of the same name, reimagined as miniature collectable figurines, a pinball machine and now as titular inspiration for their 2018 European Tour which began in Tallinn, Estonia on Saturday 26th May 2018.
Iron Maiden: Legacy of the Beast, is available now for free on Apple’s App Store and Google Play.
About Iron Maiden: With over 90 million album sales, more than 2000 live performances in 63 countries, millions of fans worldwide and 16 studio albums of unerring quality and power to their name, Iron Maiden have more than earned their proudly-held status as one of the most influential and revered bands of all time. Their last world tour, 2016/17’s The Book Of Souls covered 39 countries across six continents playing to well over two million fans, with the band travelling on their customized Boeing 747 Jumbo Jet piloted by vocalist Bruce Dickinson. The band has recently extended its legacy in a couple of other areas of particular interest to them: their own beer, Trooper, widely acknowledged as the most successful international British beer launch of the past twenty years with Cheshire family brewers Robinsons and; a mobile game entitled Iron Maiden: Legacy of the Beast – a free to play, fantasy RPG where players combat the legions of darkness across time and space as the band’s mascot ‘Eddie’. The game is both inspired by, and features, the art & music of, Iron Maiden. Iron Maiden embarked upon a 38 date tour of Europe entitled ‘Legacy of the Beast’ in May 2018.

PiercingMetal Thoughts: Though I’ve shared some posts about it over the last year or so, I’ve not played this in awhile but that is not because of my disinterest as much as its that I am NOT a gamer at all. I barely play my games of Words With Friends on my mobile and it must be why I keep losing my matches but I digress. The “Legacy Of The Beast” game really looks great and a lot of work has been put into it. If you are a fan of Maiden (and you should be if you read this website), then you should download this to your device of choice. I’d love for the thing to be available for the PS3 gaming systems since I’d rather play this on my television than on a smaller screen. What do you readers think about this if you have given it a shot yet. Chime in down below.
