The E3 Convention/Expo is underway and I have a number of colleagues in attendance doing reporting for their respective mediums. Their being there led me to follow some of the activity for our Pop Culture focuses since video games are often based on the Toys, Comics and Film items that are discussed on that section of the PiercingMetal.com website. When I saw the trailer for the upcoming 2020 release of “Marvel’s Avengers” by the folks at Square Enix, I knew that I had to share it with the readership. Take a look down below.
About The Game: Marvel’s Avengers begins at A-Day, where Captain America, Iron Man, the Hulk, Black Widow, and Thor are unveiling a hi-tech Avengers Headquarters in San Francisco — including the reveal of their own helicarrier powered by an experimental energy source. The celebration turns deadly when a catastrophic accident results in massive devastation. Blamed for the tragedy, the Avengers disband. Five years later, with all Super Heroes outlawed and the world in peril, the only hope is to reassemble Earth’s Mightiest Heroes. Marvel Entertainment and Square Enix are excited to unveil Marvel’s Avengers, an epic action-adventure game that combines cinematic storytelling with single-player and co-operative gameplay. Developed by Crystal Dynamics in collaboration with Eidos-Montréal, Nixxes Software, and Crystal Northwest, Marvel’s Avengers will release simultaneously for the PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system, the Xbox One family of devices including Xbox One X, Stadia, and PC on May 15, 2020. With Toy Fair rapidly approaching and my being involved in setting up all of the necessary appointments to do that convention right, I’m happy to share the recently release “Launch Trailer” for the brand-new remake of the classic “Resident Evil” video game. It’s rather intense so don’t watch alone or in a super dark room if you spook easily. Here we go.
About The Game: Resident Evil 2 is a survival horror game developed and published by Capcom. The game follows rookie police officer Leon S. Kennedy and college student Claire Redfield as they attempt to escape from Raccoon City during a zombie apocalypse. It is a remake of the 1998 game Resident Evil 2. Unlike the original, which uses tank controls and fixed camera angles, the remake features “over-the-shoulder” third-person shooter gameplay similar to Resident Evil 4. (c/o Wiki). In keeping pace with some of the video game trailers that we find being released, here is the recently revealed “movie trailer” for the “Kingdom Hearts III” Fantasy/Adventure game. I hope you enjoy it if you like this stuff and I’ve followed the clip with some background and closing editorial. Take a look.
About The Game: Kingdom Hearts III is an action role-playing game developed and published by Square Enix for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. It is the twelfth installment in the Kingdom Hearts series, a sequel to Kingdom Hearts II, and the final chapter in the Dark Seeker saga. Set after the events of Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance, returning protagonist Sora is joined by Donald Duck, Goofy, King Mickey and Riku in their search for the seven Guardians of Light and the “Key to Return Hearts” as they attempt to thwart the restored Xehanort’s plan to bring about a second Keyblade War. Their journey has them cross paths with characters and visit worlds based on different Disney and Pixar properties. (c/o Wiki)
PiercingMetal Thoughts: As I’ve mentioned on a few posts, I am not as much the gamer as I am the comic book collector and cinephile but with our Pop Culture side growing and growing in terms of conventions and topical coverage, I will always post a trailer clip along with a purchase code to Amazon.com to keep it all in motion. This does look like a fun game if its going to bring all of these great characters together. What do you think about this? Have you played any iteration of the game yet? Do chime in down below in the comments section.
This past weekend I attended the Play NYC gaming convention and while perusing the webs the following day noticed the Official Gameplay Trailer for the soon to be released “Marvel’s Spider-Man” which will be playable on the PS4 gaming console by Playstation. I’m sharing the exciting trailer down below and wow does it look awesome. Check it out.
