Just in case you might have forgotten, today is “Free Comic Book Day” and this is the once a year event that takes place on the first Saturday in May at participating comic book retailers. It’s a wonderful day for fans of the medium, and its name pretty much describes what happens and its the chance to get a nice stack of free comic books. I’ve been supporting this initiative for a few years now and cannot wait to head over to my local retailer. Here are some of the items that I am interested in getting copies of. The art and premise were all culled from the Official FCBD website which I’ve linked below for your own assistance. Here we go.
Avengers/Captain America: Free Comic Book Day 2018 is your perfect chance to dive into the Marvel Universe! With a story from Jason Aaron and art by Sara Pichelli, Marvel’s FCBD title debuting this May features stories that set the stage for an epic new direction in the Marvel Universe. Today is “Free Comic Book Day” at participating retailers so you’ll want to head to your local comic book shop and see if they are involved. It means a nice stack of free comic books (while supplies last of course) and don’t forget to support these shops with additional purchases.
Today is the “Free Comic Book Day” for 2017 and there are a whole lot of awesome titles to secure for absolutely nothing. I hit my neighborhood shop Galaxy Comics in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn a short time ago and rushed back to showcase images of what is out there and that you should still be able to find providing you act fast. Here we go.
As we go through the stuff that I observed at today’s FCBD, I figured I would speak up on a few of them as the visuals go by but I will admit that I didn’t know every single title that was available today. This wouldn’t be a problem with the two offerings by Marvel and their “Guardians” title and the “Secret Empire” one. Each of these has a second story for fans to enjoy. Never a bad thing.
Not only is the excitement rising for “GOTG” since their film opened yesterday but also for “Wonder Woman” whose feature comes early next month. This Valiant Comics offering gives two tales which appears to be a common thread on this years FCBD
It’s “Free Comic Book Day” once again and that means that numerous comics are available for the whopping cost of $.00 each so find your participating retailer and get yourself a stash while supplies last. It’s also recommended to take advantage of the many sales that will be going on. #GetYerGeekOn
Since next Saturday is the 2017 “Free Comic Book Day”, I’ve culled together a presentation of some of the titles that I am hoping to snag at my participating retailer. I figured since their is one more New Comic Wednesday between now and then, that it would be a good idea to showcase a few titles so you can make sure the place where you purchase your own titles will have them if they are participating in “Free Comic Book Day” at all. If they are not, I suggest that you use this time to peruse the official website of the event to find a store close to you that does. The information comes straight from each companies press items along with the images so let’s get on down to it.
